Draco found her in an empty classroom.
THE empty classroom.
He'd had a weird feeling that he needed to go there.
Whirling around, Ginny hiccough'ed when she caught sight of Draco. Draco's breath hitched in his throat when he saw her blue-ish complection, her red eyes, her spiky eyelashes.
"Who. Did. This. To. You," he hissed, rushing towards her. Ginny hiccoughed again as she fell into his arms.
"No- no one," she choked, as she fought with another hiccough. Panting through her tears, Ginny kissed Draco's chest as she buried her head into it, inhaling his rich, woody smell.
Stroking her hair the way he knows she likes, Draco slowly leant her against a table leg. It was at that moment that he realised that it was the same place he had leant a crying Ginny, after she'd woken up from her nightmare. It almost rendered Draco speechless, thinking about how far they'd both came in their relationship, how well they'd (almost) kept it completely hidden, how they're still together, after all this time, and after everything that's happened.
Hushing Ginny, Draco waited for her to calm down before raising his eyebrows at her, urging her to speak.
Sighing, Ginny looked up, and smiled timidly at Draco. He stared stonily back, as he repeated his question.
"I spoke to Hermione..." Ginny began, weaving her fingers in and out of his.
"And?" Draco urged.
"She... She wasn't anything like you said," Ginny whispered. Draco frowned and kissed her hands slowly. "I thought she'd be understanding, and... just... URGH!" She cried, as angry tears sparked in her eyes. "I was so angry... I wanted to hit her Draco! HERMIONE! I never thought I'd want to hit Hermione, but I just wanted her to SHUT UP!"
"Shh," Draco murmured, as he worriedly watched Ginny's eyes water.
"She... She said that you were... you were basically bad news, what was I thinking, my family would never forgive me, I'm crazy, you were a bully, I need to be sebsible, you're not good for me, I'd be better off with Harry..." Ginny's voice faded as she saw Draco's eyes darken at the mention of Harry.
"I put her in her place," Ginny murmured quickly, "I told her to shut up about being sensible or whatever, and stay out of it. I just felt so angry..."
Draco held her close, silently.
"I just had to get out of there before I cursed her," Ginny whispered.
Chuckling lightly, Draco smirked and said into the silence, "I'm a bad influence on you."
"No," Ginny said quietly, as she turned to straddle him. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."
Their faces were so close, it was almost impossible not to kiss. However, Ginny held herself, as did Draco. They simply drank eachother in, memorising every freckle, every eyelash, every smile line, every frown line.
"Do you want me to talk to her?" Draco breathed against her lips.
"No, I don't want you to duel her," Ginny replied, and Draco smirked.
"I don't duel girls, it's always a mistake." he said solemnly, and Ginny pulled back, mock-outraged.
"So what was I, then?!" She yelled.
Draco roughly grabbed Ginny's hair and crushed his lips against hers.
"The best mistake I ever made."
