"Settle down," Snape ordered, as the class hushed quickly. His black cloak was a bat wing, contrasting greatly to his pale, sallow face. "I know we have a new seating arrangement, but that doesn't mean I want you talking all the time!" He sniffed.
"Today's potion we will be making is the..."
Fumbling around in her quill-case, Ginny fished out a piece of parchment, a quill and an inkpot. She hastily dipped her quill into the pot and scrawled on the parchment, before passing it to her platinum-blonde neighbour.
You didn't have to buy me anything for Christmas, you know.
He raised a brow as he read it, before gracefully writing his response underneath. She followed suit.
I know.
So why did you?
Because I am a very rich man and I wanted to buy you something.
That's so sweet, but I'm afraid you won't be receiving something as extravagant.
I wasn't expecting to.
Is that a dig?
No, I'm just stating a fact.
Whatever. Thank you, for the present.
You're welcome.
Do you want a present?
I own everything money can buy.
...How about something money can't buy?
I like the sound of this.
"WHO IS WRITING?!" Snape bellowed, bursting the bubble in which Draco and Ginny were encased. They both froze. The blonde lazily sat back, while the red-head sat unnaturally upright. "This is a practical lesson, there is no need to write anything. To continue..."
That was close.
Stop writing! We'll get caught!
Stop writing back then.
Fine.
You just wrote back.
Oh shut up.
I didn't say anything.
God, you're annoying, Malfoy.
I've been told.
I'm not surprised.
"STOP WRITING! If I hear another swish of a quill you all will have detention. Clear?"
"Clear," the class mumbled.
Draco winked at Ginny before tucking his quill into his robe, making Ginny's heart flutter.
"Before I forget..." Snape drawled. "Malfoy, you're expected at the Headmaster's office. Now."
Gulping slightly, Draco nodded and left the potions classroom. Ginny watched his back fearfully.
"Not to worry, Miss Weasley..." Snape hissed in her ear. Ginny flinched. "You can work with Soshry."
Ginny groaned.
