"Are you alright, Draco?" Pansy cooed in his ear.

Jerking his head away as if he felt the soft wing of a nargle, Draco flinched irritably and snarled,

"Why can't you just leave me alone?!"

They were walking down the 4th floor corridoor together, towards their next lessons, Potions. Crowded with rowdy 5th years, Draco walked the isle as the tallest, and by far the most handsome. Pansy looked like a deseased cow.

"But Draco, you seem so far away today..." she came closer. "is there anything I can do to.. relieve the stress?"

Before Draco could open his mouth and reply with something so harshly-truthful it would make Pansy cry, a red-headed flame flaunced past, chuckling.

"HEY!" screeched Pansy. The corridoor noise stuttered to a silence. Ginny Weasley turned, very, very slowly. Her poker-face was unreadable. Draco allowed himself to show some emotion; he frowned slightly.

"Hmm..?" The baby weasel replied, in a soft, innocent voice. No one dared to even breath louder than a Thestral in the Forbidden Forest.

"What was so funny?" Pansy snapped. "There are a lot of things a puny 5th year wouldn't know, and I don't expect a peasant to understand!"

Draco nearly snorted. What on Earth was that dratted girl on about?

"...Excuse me...?" the baby weasel replied. A flame lit in her chocolate eyes. However, as Draco noticed, it wasn't a flame of anger, but a flame of amusement. Noticing him staring at her, Ginny's eyes drifted to his, and they held gaze for a mili-second, before he turned away. No way was he going to infiltrate his pure-eyes with blood-traitor scum.

"You know exacty what I'm talking about!" Pansy shrieked. "Don't you DARE laugh at a pure-blood, especialy one a year above you!"

Draco nearly groaned. Pansy was embarrassing herself and worse, him. Before he intervened with a witty yet degrading comment, Ginny Weasley beat him to it.

" For the record, Pansy, I'm also a pure-blood. And, oh, I'm sorry, Pansy. I-I mean Majesty. Never again. You looked stressed, ma'am. Is... is there anything I can do to... relieve you of it?"

With that as a last note, Ginny cackled, and danced away. Her laugh echoed and soon enough the whole corridoor was laughing. Turning, he found that Pansy had strutted off, mortified. Draco nearly allowed him to smile, until he remembered.

How could you allow yourself to laugh at a mudblood-lover's joke?! What is the matter with you?!

Unfortunately, it was obvious. He was clearly going insane.
