Firm Kisses and Epiphanies

Of course, all good things come to an end. Which is why, when Ginny and Draco stopped kissing, they weren't regretful, for they knew that there were things to discuss. Well, not that regretful.

"Gin-"

"Yes?"

"It's happening."

"What is?"

"A... mission. I-"

"Mission? For the Order? Oh Dra-"

"What? No. For... for..."

"Draco! What the fu-"

"No, no! It's not... what you think. Snape... What?"

"Nothing, I just kinda figured Snape would have something to do with it."

"Whatever, anyway, Snape told the Dark Lord that I was at his service, and the Dark Lord has a mission for me. Something to do with the dueling. I... I think he wants me to duel Potter."

"The dueling? I had heard that you beat Harry, well done. But this... I thought Voldemort had to kill Harry?"

"Thanks. And I don't fucking know, do I?"

"Draco."

Draco turned, wildly, towards Ginny. The fear in his grey eyes pooled into liquid, and soon Ginny was rocking him in her arms.

"Draco..." she soothed, "We'll figure something out.."

But Draco was shaking his head.

"I wish... I wish I could... Ginny..." he muttured. Then he shook his head, almost to himself. "Gin, I can't help him. I can't help the Dark Lord. Not after..." He gestured wordlessly over Ginny's body. Her cheeks warmed and tears pooled in her eyes, but she held them in, content with kissing Draco firmly.

"Dray, right now, one thing's clear to me; there's only one person in the world that has a chance to stop Voldemort."

"I know," Draco began impatiently, "Potter, but how ca-"

"No." Ginny said. "You."
