dan carries the last box inside, and closes the door carefully. it's a habit he has because of phil, he always complained about dan closing the door with too much force.
phil. they lived together for three months, and they had planned to live together for years. they planned doing so much, and experience the world together. phil promised to never leave dan alone again. what went wrong?
"hi mate, are you okay?"
dan answers with a nod, then letting a smile follow. chris smiles and gives him a long hug, a hug dan needed right now. dan has been friends with chris longer than he can remember, and chris has never failed to make him smile. he is a true friend, unlike phil.
"i'm sorry it ended like this, mate. i really thought you two were meant for each other."
"it's okay, i'll find someone else."
dan's heart breaks in two by saying this, he doesn't want someone else, he wants phil. but, stuff like this happens. he has already reached the very bottom already, he can't reach it twice, right? and, he's not alone. he has good friends, family and they all will be there for him.
but, phil won't.
