Fortress of Solitude

More of Thawne's soldiers bursted in the room where Barry, Zod, Diana, and Terry were. About thirty of the soldiers bursted in. Barry, Zod, Diana, and Terry got ready to fight. Not only were they strong, they were fast too, as fast as Barry. They had beaten the soldiers before them without killing, they could do it again.

"You guys handle them, I'll find Thawne and stop him." Barry commanded.

"No Barry, you can't." Diana replied, "It wouldn't be smart to take him on alone."

"I have to, we can't risk anyone else here. If I fail, then you all could use Velocity 9 to travel back." Barry stated.

"You need to kill him. It's the only way to insure our pathway back for sure." Terry ordered.

"There's still hope for him, I know there is. There was hope for you, there is for him." Barry said.

"You need to go now Barry. Run." Zod told Barry as Barry sped off.

Barry ran into a room that was south of the room his friends were currently in. In the room Barry was in, there were four doors. A voice echoed over Barry, it was Thawne's voice.

"Take the fourth door if you want to see me Barry." Thawne told Barry as his voice echoed.

"How can I trust you? It could be a trap..." Barry questioned.

"You can't but you will." Thawne echoed.

Thawne was right. Barry couldn't trust Thawne but he would listen to him and enter the fourth door. In the fourth door was a eight foot by eight for room. Thawne and a woman with a bag over her head were in the room. The woman was on her knees with Thawne standing next to her.

Thawne ran up to Barry and punched him in the face. Blood spewed out of Barry's mouth but Barry shook it off. Barry then kicked Thawne in the stomach, causing Thawne to lose his breath. After, Barry smashed Thawne to the ground. Thawne got back up and started firing rapid punches at Barry's chest. At least seventeen punches were hitting Barry's chest a second. Barry jumped back after the tenth second but fell on the floor. Thawne walked up to Barry, who was lying down on the floor, and kicked him in the face. Thawne then picked Barry up by the head and threw him into a wall.

"Stay down Allen." Thawne commanded.

Barry didn't listen though and got back up. Barry then ran up to Thawne and started kicking Thawne on his head, middle body, and legs multiple times. Barry then started running around Thawne at super-speeds, cutting off Thawne's oxygen. However, Thawne saw how fast Barry was running. Thawne's mind just saw the smallest things. Thawne grabbed Barry by the neck as Barry was running around Thawne and held him in the air.

"Barry, oh Barry." Thawne started off. "I can't believe you didn't know who I was when you first saw me. Or you didn't know who I really was."

"Who are you?" Barry gasped.

"I am the man who caused all of your pain." Thawne laughed. "I caused all of it, from you falling down the stairs when you were five years old to trapping you in the Speed Force when you tried to stop Brainiac." Barry had an angered look on his face. "I've been controlling your life this whole time Barry. How do you think you escaped the Speed Force? I am the mastermind behind everything."

"You kept me in there for so long!" Barry yelled as he was still being choked.

"That's not even the worst thing I've done to you Barry. You think so small." Thawne stated, "I killed her Barry. I killed your mother."

"No! No, that's impossible!" Barry screamed, trying to break free.

"I traveled back in time with the intention of kill you, the nine year old you. I failed however because you, you from a different timeline, prevented that from happening. So instead, I realized I could hurt you even more by killing your mother." Thawne explained.

"Why!?" Barry asked, "Why did you do this!?"

"It's because I hate you Barry." Thawne said. "I changed the timeline when I trapped you in the Speed Force, erasing all of your history from the year 2017-2065. Before I changed the timeline, you and I were supposed to meet in the year 2020. I once was your obsessor, until I learned that I would be your greatest enemy. So I took the mantle of being your Reverse and caused this all."

"So you did this because of some fate?!" Barry questioned, still being held by Thawne.

"Yes. It was a very real fate. I saw it." Thawne said, "I couldn't believe it originally until I traveled to 2035 and saw you fighting me. So then after that I thought, what can I do to become what I'm supposed to be? So I thought of this, all of this and I'm not done yet."

Thawne threw Barry on the ground, hurting his back. He pulled of the bag to reveal a beautiful, red haired woman. Barry knew who this woman was, it was his wife, Iris West-Allen.

"Iris?" Barry expressed as he looked at her in horrors.

"Yes Barry, it's your wife, Iris West Allen from the year 2018." Thawne smiled.

"You- you took her, a year after I vanished. That's why Diana said she disappeared. She's been with you..." Barry stated. "How? You couldn't have broken the time barrier, not with me here. Did you get her before I arrived?"

"No, I didn't. I have friends, very powerful friends who time travel for a living." Thawne answered. "They snatched her for me."

"Barry! Don't do anything he tells you to do! Let me-" Thawne slapped Iris before she could finish her sentence.

"Here's how we're going to do this, Barry." Thawne started off. "You are going to kill Diana, Terry, and Zod if you want your wife to be alive after you reset the timeline."

"If you do that, I'll steal your speed, go back in time and stop you from doing this all." Barry stated.

"No, no, no! You can't do that. I'm a paradox, Allen. I shouldn't even be here right now but I am. I can manipulate time, I can change anything that you do or undo." Thawne explained. "I've made arrangements for you to change this hellhole. All you need to do is do what I command, let me break you. Break your moral code, betray your friends, for Iris, for me. "

Barry fell to his knees. "No... I can't."

"Then your wife dies." Thawne vibrated his hand over Iris' face as she screamed.

"No!" Barry yelled. "I'll do it!"

"Will you now?" Thawne asked with his hand still vibrating over Iris' face.

"Yes..." Barry cried.
