It had been 20 years since Barry and Iris had arrived in the last. Barry still had his speed. They had changed their names to Bart and Patty West. Barry and Iris couldn't afford to risk their identities. They hadn't aged as fast as everyone else. For every four years they were there, they aged a year. This causes them to change their identities each decade. Barry and Iris were in their Central City home. Barry was eating and watching the news.
"What's on the news hon?" Iris asked as she grabbed Barry a Coca Cola can.
"It's just started." Barry replied.
On the news, everyone was talking about who would win the Presidential Election of 1992. The candidates were Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, and Ross Perot. Barry and Iris knew Bill Clinton would win. After a whether report appeared and it was going to be a sunny week. The temperature was going to be 75 to 80 degrees.
Suddenly, a breaking news report had appeared on the TV screen from Metropolis. "This just in, an ALIEN calling himself Mongul is in Metropolis looking for Earth's greatest warrior. That's when a man in blue tights and a red cape confronted him. The man can fly. That's all we know for now but stay tuned to find out more."
"Barry, what's going on?" Iris asked.
"It's Clark." Barry replied. "Time changed, this isn't the past we're used to."
"What are we going to do about it?" Iris said.
"We're going to wait, Clark will beat this guy, I know he will. We don't need to worry about him. In the close future, we need to make sure that Thawne or no one like him takes over the world again." Barry stated, "But in the meantime we have to prepare for recruitment."
