...Thunder Buddies

~ Heathers POV ~

"Y-You're my hero, I-I love you so much!" A girl with bright green eyes and blonde hair cries as she stares at me.
I smile at her and open my arms, she runs into them. "Awwwh boo! Dont cry! Its ok! I love you too. Also, I cant believe you're shorter than me, someone shorter than me actually fucking exists, DAMN!"
She laughs into my white sws tank and pulls away from me slightly to smile "Y-You're just as funny in person!"
I shake my head and blush "Naww! Im not funny really, Im just an asshole! Anyway, whats your name?"
"A-Ava..." She utters nervously, blushing slightly.
"Thats such a cool name! Seriously, its so short and cool! It kinda makes me think of the movie Avatar, which is an awesome movie." I remark thoughtfully. I can hear the rain outside.
"Haha, thank you! O-Out of curiosity, h-how are you and Kellin doing?" Ava asks quietly.
I sigh "Honestly? We're not. Im doing everything I can to push him away, because I dont want him to get hurt by me again. I ignored him all night after our date, and I feel terrible, but it'll be worth it, because eventually he'll leave and-" a loud crash of thunder cuts me off mid-sentence. My eyes widen and fill with tears, I shake my head frantically and fall to the floor. I start rocking myself backwards and forwards, burying my face in my knees. My sporks start shouting and asking if Im ok, asking whats wrong with me. I cant. Its too loud. Suddenly, the room is filled with gasps, squeals, and screams. I dont lift my head from my knees, I need to try and calm myself. I cry silently into my knees, struggling to breathe. I cant have a panic attack, not in front of my sporks!
"WHERE IS SHE!?! HELP ME OUT HERE GUYS, LET ME GET TO HER, SHE NEEDS ME!!!" I hear a man shout, I sniffle.
"SHE'S HERE KELLIN!" Ava shouts. "EVERYONE MOVE, HE NEEDS TO GET TO HER!"
Within seconds I hear a relived sigh "There you are!" Then someone falls to the ground beside me and wraps their arms around me, I curl into them, because I realized who this was as soon as the sporks started screaming.
"Kellin!?! What are you doing here!?!" I ask in a shaky whisper.
"Keeping you safe from the thunder, as I always have." He replies softly, kissing my hair. "Its ok now baby, Im here, I've got you, nothing can hurt you, I wont let anything hurt you, you're safe in my arms baby, I promise, just let me hold you, and everything will be alright."
I bury myself in the warmth and safety of him. He has always been able to calm me down, no matter whats wrong with me, and thats something my closest friends still struggle to do. If I had space within my thoughts to hate what I was letting myself do, I would, but currently all I can think about is how safe I feel in Kellins arms.
For a second, my walls come down, I melt into him, and I accidentally whisper my inner thoughts "Please, dont ever let me go Kellin..."
He kisses my cheek "I wont Heather, I promise, not ever."
I can tell there are so many people recording this, or taking pictures, or just fangirling. In normal circumstances, I'd be fangirling too, but currently trying not to have a panic attack over thunder, so yeah.
"I-Is she ok?" Ava asks quietly. It warms my heart that she asked Kellin about me before even introducing herself to him, or asking if its really him.
"Im not sure...are you ok baby?" Kellin asks me softly.
I nod into his shirt "I am now, but if you let go of me I will probably die."
Kellin laughs slightly before telling Ava "I think she's just fine!"
I take a deep breath "I cant let them down, I gotta attempt to continue this meet and greet."
"Are you sure?" Kellin asks warily.
I nod "Yeah. But, uh, can you stay with me? Just incase...y'know..."
Kellin laughs lightly "Of course, if it means Im with you, Im down for anything." I giggle as Kellin stands and helps me up, before turning to my sporks. "Heather is facing her fear of thunder for you guys, but has asked if I would stay, do you guys mind?" The sporks in the line scream excitedly, causing Kellin to laugh "Rad, thanks guys!" He turns to smile down at me. "Guess Im definitely staying then!"
I smile gratefully "Thank you so much Kels."
Kellin winks "Anytime doll!" He steps back so that he is out of camera shot in the fan photos, but it soon becomes apparent that the sporks want to meet him too, so they ask for him to appear in their photos with me too. Not that I blame them. Kellin is a fucking angel. Literally.

I need to stop falling for him.

...But what if I dont want to?
