"Yes, we will stay. But, we need to return before anyone catches us." Gray was the one to reply this time.
"Sure." That was the last thing the man said before disappearing. The display which he occupied seconds ago, was taken over by full room display. Char looked around to see the large pillar like things that were displayed in the room. The pillar like structures were so high that they seemed to be kissing a cool, blue ceiling. The virtual expression of Char walked towards the pillar and extended to touch it. It had a tough, yet soothing surface with highly detailed surface. Different shades and tones of brown on the pillar looked like a painting. She could see the little cracks, crevices, long channels that ran down and deep, folds and layers.
"How could something have so much detail?" Char thought.
"Thing you see was called tree. It used to be as alive as you are, on Earth. They were in place of the photosynthetic plates." They could hear a woman's voice speaking. Char was amazed. She thought that the 'tree' thing was as dead as metal that is used to build the Colony. It did not seem to breath. The only living thing they know about was human beings, until then. But her heart blindly believed everything she learned in that room. She looked at Gray to see his reaction upon hearing that. He was more than just amazed. His eyes and mouth were wide open.
Then, the display seemed to change. It was as if the pillar went down, and they could now see the green canopy. The green thingy was divided. Like the system connections, the brown pillar ran through the green object. They seemed to be moving. All of a sudden air blew through the green ,rustling them during its path. Unlike usually, Char felt good by hearing the sound. It was rather soothing. The light breeze hit the virtual faces of Char and Gray. The real Char and Gray could feel the same things as their virtual counterparts.
"This is nice, really nice," Gray commented, closing his eyes and taking in the air, even though only the usual amount of air entered his mouth.
"The air is so cool. It is flowing," Char added.
But then something happened and that was not anticipated at all. That left them in awe and confused. They knew they had to act quickly. They were out of stock of resource by now.
