70.Confrontation

Unlike what they had planned or intended, the tiny pieces of androids got back into shape. And they attacked back in a fraction of a second. Humans were not even able to react at all. They fell into the tight clutch of androids.

"Oh no! We should have made backup plans." Someone cried out.

While captured humans struggled to be free, others shot androids vigorously.

"I have a plan." Dulcet wailed while struggling to get out of the android's clutches.

Char aimed at the android using the gun's laser pointer and pulled him away from the android when it split up.

"Cut off the Transmission and the androids will go still. Simple." Dulcet said swiftly.

"But we do not know how to reach Transmission Center." Char pointed out asked she shot an android.

"Gray knows," Force shouted before firing at the android behind Char.

"Gray!" Dulcet called out and Gray, who wasn't far, came to join the little group.

"Can you go to the Transmission Center and cut off the transmission?" Char asked.

"He can not do it alone. He will need help." Dulcet said. Force aimed at android coming towards them.

"Char, Dulcet go with Gray. We will manage it here. We have no time to waste. So just run." Force sent them away. Two androids followed them. They made their way to the staircase to get to the Main Transmission Center. Char fired at the machines but she missed her target twice. Dulcet disintegrated them by a couple of shots.

"This way," Gray said as he dodged next flight of stairs and took a secret tunnel.

"It is better to avoid those androids." Gray continued.

They both were panting heavily by the time they reached the M_TrC. more like they expected there were the group of seven androids guarding the gate.

One of the androids raised its gun towards the trio.

"You said androids could not shoot humans," Gray complained. They dropped to the floor to avoid the bullets.

"These are not androids. These are fighter robots. They obey different rules." Dulcet said while firing at the robot. Three robots disintegrated. Gray rushed to open the door and Char took both of her guns to fire simultaneously. Another robot fell apart. Before the Princess opened the door, the three robots attacked them. Char managed to escape the bullets but Dulcet got shot.

Gray shot down another robot. Char missed a shot and the robot caught Char. Gray rushed to free but the latter robot blocked him off with a kick. In the pressure of the kick he lost control of his gun. The robot caught him.

Dulcet by this time had crawled into the Transmission Center, drawing a red trail on his way. He clutched his throbbing stomach and got to his feet with the help the bringer stand. He leaned onto the stand and checked through the system. He had to get access to the M_TrC accounts.

"Connect K-FlumMox antediluvian version. It remembers how to log in." Princess told him. That android had hacked his system many times before to avoid him surprise or shock. Gray seldom trusted him.

"Can you do it?" He asked the Princess. There was no need to ask.

He got entry into the system. He wiped his blood-spattered hands on his suit. His stomach was excruciating. He was relieved that Princess hacked into his system. His android was alerting him about the bullet shots. It kept saying that there are three inside his abdomen, that caused him injury, severe organ damage, fatal bleeding and so on.

He forced his hands to work faster than ever even though it was hard because of the dizziness caused by blood loss. He hit the "DISCONNECT" option and all the transmission died down. The hologram display depleted. He has done it. His foot gave up supporting his weight. He knew what was coming next. But what happened was unforeseen.
