My Invisible Friends (Imaginary But Real) 3

Very Busy Day

April 23

We had Grandpa's funeral today. We had a visitation first and I talked to some people, and my siblings and I were looking at Grandpa in his coffin, and he looked like he was sleeping with his Bible under his hands. He looked a little different because the makeup people had to make him not look so sick. We went in the chapel for the service. It was a very good service. I could see some of my imaginary friends in their seats, too, so I guess they made it in time for the funeral. (Dolly and Destiny had had to take them to their houses and get their swimsuits for later.)

We stayed for the lowering of the casket, and my siblings had invisible red roses like the rest of us had real ones to put on Grandpa's coffin. Then we left. We went to the hotel and then to a restaurant for dinner with a lot of the family and friends who had been at the funeral.

I saw Dolly, Brennan, and Karilee sitting together on my way back from the bathroom, and they were sitting together with some others and I couldn't wait for Brennan's proposal later. It happened while we were swimming in the hotel pool.

My aunt Eve, cousin Thomas, Aunt Becca, Gianna, Portia, Timmy, Brienna, Charlene, Sheyenne, Enna, Riley, Lynn, Brennan, Dolly, Karilee, Destiny, Bronson, Anabelle, Lana, Kendra, Mariella, Madeline, Marina, Lexi, Payton, Mykayla, and I went swimming and my uncle Mark, cousin Ella, her cousin, and their grandma came in, too. We were playing with balls and hanging out, and Ella and her cousin and their grandma didn't stay very long. But the rest of us were having so much fun! Enna, Thomas, Uncle Mark, Destiny, Mariella, and I played Monkey In The Middle. Then we began throwing the ball at the wall. There wasn't much drama at the pool except Portia yelled at Payton that she was a slut, and Aunt Becca got really mad.

Then we kept playing with balls and jumping into the water and I played with Bronson with the ball some, too. Thomas and I played our Crap In The Toilet game but we didn't yell this time. Aunt Becca got mad and was yelling at Gianna to get out of the water but she didn't. I think Aunt Becca gets mad so much that Gi just tunes her out.

We girls kept throwing the ball with Thomas and Brienna kept hitting the ball at him. While Lynn, some other friends, and I were playing ball with Thomas, we heard Brennan finally propose to Ms. Dolly! He did it so casually, while he was taking about swimming, like, "I'm gonna swim over there. By the way, will you marry me?" She hugged him immediately. Karilee was just standing on the side of the pool, watching them, with no clue what had just happened. But Lynn and Destiny and I were like...whoa.

Of course, someone had to start drama a little while later. Lexi called Brienna a screwup and it offended Brienna, and then Portia told Brienna she could just die and then she actually told Enna the same thing. She must have still been in a bad mood because Aunt Becca was mad at her, but that gave her no right to tell a 9-year-old to die. I know Portia didn't mean that, but it hurts for a 9-year-old little girl to hear that from her (possible favorite) big sister.

We left the hotel and then Aunt Eve, Brienna, Lana, and I went in Grandpa's to get some things. Lana just went in to go in, and the rest of us got some things as mementos and things we could use, like the tv and computer.
