May 12

We went to Sunset today for Marybeth's birthday and I sat next to Anne across from my mom, who I was mad at because she'd been drinking again. I wouldn't have gone to the restaurant with her if it weren't for Marybeth's 16th birthday.

When we got home, it was overcast and everyone else left but me and my mom and Anabelle and Madeline. Madeline and I were reading our notes from 11th grade outside but it started to rain so we went in. Later, Madeline, Anabelle, Lexi, Brienna, Erica, Mrs. Meredith, and I went to buy some flip flops for the Bahamas. We have to get up at 3:30 tomorrow morning!

Enna was bawling earlier because Aunt Becca had said something awful to her, according to Mrs. Meredith, who had to comfort her in her lap, she was crying so hard. I gave Enna a hug. I still don't know what Aunt Becca said. She doesn't seem like she even cares about Enna's feelings. Even little Madigan was asking if she was alright.
