Yes, I heard about the gay shooting in Florida. Ah, well. That meant today was another day for LGBT to make it all about them on Twitter. Gay hashtags were trending left and right, and Jadyn and I couldn't stand it. We began to tweet our own hashtags and write our own tweets to make fun of the LGBT and their supporters.
Then I dared Lynn to follow one of our favorite singers (La Roux) and say something homophobic. Last year, La Roux tweeted me because she'd seen my argument with someone from the queer community. My favorite singer hated me! So today Lynn followed her and tweeted her. It was the perfect opportunity because La Roux (Elly Jackson) had just recently tweeted something about ending gay and bi discrimination.
Lynn's tweet read: "you're worried about LGBT freaks when you should be more worried about you & how you refuse to identify your own gender #JS".
I was proud of my little Lynnie!
But it was Sheyenne who really slayed Twitter tonight with two simple hashtags: #StraightsBreakTheInternet and #StraightisGreat. She put four straight pride pictures with it, and the tweets started rolling in. Every minute, there were more than 20 tweets to her! Our plan was working! We'd been trying to turn the attention to ourselves instead of the gays, and Sheyenne was the one who did it. Her Twitter is @dancer_sheyenne if you want to give her more attention.
Sheyenne was the one who started that hashtag #StraightsBreakTheInternet trending. Sure, it was below all the gay crap but it was still trending, and gay people were having a fit over it. Sure, sure, others probably tweeted it before Sheyenne, but she was the one whose tweet got the most attention, as far as I'm concerned. We were so glad the attention was on my little sister instead of the gays. That's what we'd been trying to do- ruin something for them.
I KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO NOW!!
Every time we see a trend about gays, and it's in the top 5, WE should start a trend for straights or something that will take the attention away from LGBT and put it on NORMAL people like us.
Today, Sheyenne did that. Our accounts got attention, too, but it looked like nothing compared to Sheyenne's. Sheyenne had at least 1,000 tweets directed at her and many, many likes and some retweets. I know this doesn't seem like a big deal to you but we've been trying to ruin something for the gays for a while and it was my little 15-year-old sister that did it.
