June 4

Well, let me just start off by saying, this morning we pulled a funny prank on Shelby, that lady we don't like. It was pouring down rain, and we came up with a plan. Brienna went to tell Shelby to take a shower in our shower (that my imaginary friends never even use), and that Aunt Becca had said for everyone to use that shower today. Shelby went and asked my aunt and then came back, saying Aunt Becca had actually said it was a good idea.

So, while Shelby was in the shower, Lucy stole her clothes and hid them in the bedroom. Then when Shelby was calling for someone to bring her her clothes, she was standing in the bathroom in her bra and underwear. Brienna went and told her her clothes were outside, which was a lie, but Shelby fell for it! That idiot falls for anything. One time, she fell for it when Brienna told her to walk across the edge of a bridge and then Caitlyn and I pushed her into the freezing lake.

So Shelby came out in her undergarments to go out and look for her clothing. That's when Brienna and I pushed her out the door and I locked it. Thank goodness Aunt Becca wasn't in there when it happened! She would've murdered us!

Shelby was banging on the door and Brienna yelled through the door that her clothes were in the bushes. Little did Shelby know, her clothes were nice and warm in the house. We left her there, standing on the porch, in her undergarments, livid.

While Lynn and I were working on the book in the bedroom (and Shelby was still outside), Devon kept coming in the room and telling Lynn the "tickle monster" was back. He was tickling her so hard she was laying on the bed shrieking with laughter. He kept coming back in to tickle-tackle her and I warned him when Aunt Becca was coming in from the garage and would be able to see them.

Then we saw Shelby running around outside, still in her bra and underwear!! What a moron! She then got on the phone. I bet it wasn't even in a lifeproof case. She's dumb enough to use a phone in the rain that doesn't have a waterproof case on it. Sandy was asking about the poor woman and why she was outside, but she didn't let her in. Eventually, Lucy did, and Shelby came in with her curly hair hanging all around her face and soaked to the brim. She kept screaming.

Lynn and I were planning on watching That's So Raven together and Brienna was in the big chair, Devon was on the couch, and I sat next to him. I told Lynn she would have to sit on Devon's lap because there wasn't anywhere else she could sit. So she was on Devon's lap the entire episode. I'm surprised he sat there and watched it, probably because he wanted to spend time with Lynn. Of course, every time my aunt came by, Lynn would stand up.

But the cutest thing was when Devon was getting ready to go to the store and he asked Lynn if she needed anything, and she said no, and he tickled her and made her giggle again. Then he kept asking her if she was sure she didn't need anything, and he had his hand on her shoulder and was standing kind of close to her. Then he leaned down and kissed her on the top of her head. He kissed her!!

While Devon was gone, Aunt Becca said that Devon needed someone's number who was going to Monica's for dinner, so they could let him in when he came back. (Everyone else would be gone showering.) I heard Brienna casually mention that Lynn could send her number to him. (She'd already said he probably didn't want Shelby's, and Aunt Becca had agreed, "Over my dead body.") So Aunt Becca asked Lynn to put her number in her phone to send to Devon.

Lynn, Lizzie, Charlene, Gianna, Shelby, and I went to eat dinner and then Lynn and I went in the house after dinner and we thought we were the only ones in there and Lynn told me how Devon had texted her and told her he had been planning on asking whoever sent him their number for hers. Well, as Lynn was gushing about it, I came around the corner and there was Devon sitting on the bed in the bedroom! Lynn freaked when she saw him, because there was no doubt he had heard everything she'd said.

He talked to her and then she shyly asked, "Do you like me?" and he took her into the kitchen and gave her something in a little box that looked like something jewelry came in. I was like....did he really....?!!?

Oh, yes, he did. It was a silver necklace and was beautiful. She loved it. I could tell.

Much, much later, Lynn was telling me about how her grandma didn't think she was old enough to take care of her little sister, Gwendolyn. Lynnie was crying and Devon started to comfort her, and then he asked her if she wanted to talk, so they went to another room to talk about what was bothering her.

I do think it's so adorable how a big guy like Devon who's 32 can have such feelings for our little Lynn. If he's not tickling her and making her scream with laughter, he's buying her jewelry at the store. Maybe that was what he was at the store for. He never said which store, after all.
