My Invisible Friends (Imaginary But Real) 3

Gianna's Birthday

June 11

Gianna turned 6 today!! Of course, we headed up to Nashville Shores. (It was me, my siblings, the birthday girl, Aunt Becca, Devon, Gracie, Marlee, Kayla (another of Gianna's school friends), Karilee, Ms. Dolly, Demarrah, Jadyn, Joanna, Monica, Lynn, Gwendolyn, Caitlyn, Allayna, and Anabelle.)

It was such a sunny day and we got there at 10:15. It wasn't crowded yet, but I knew it was fixing to be. We decided to knock out some of the slides first, so some of us went to the Thunder and Lightning slides and I went down Thunder with Lynn. Then Monica, Brienna, Caitlyn, Allayna, and I rode the Big Kahuna together. There was lots of room for all of them since we only went with one other guy.

Caitlyn went on the Big Kahuna with Gianna after that because Gi wanted to go with her so Caitlyn promised she would after we went down. Gianna thinks Caitlyn is her big sister because they kind of look the same. They're not sisters, but they could pass for it!

In the wave pool, we were having a blast. Monica and I were jumping on an inner tube whenever a huge wave would come, and getting flipped over. I lost my sunglasses twice! Even though we'd been having fun, I was relieved when they finally turned the waves off so I could get my sunglafunses back.

The next time I went into the wave pool, Lynn was holding Gwen in the waves. She wanted to teach her to swim but Gwen didn't want to learn to swim. She'd been swimming pretty well just then! Then she'd almost drowned and I had to save her.

Monica and I wanted to go on the Big Scream, because we hadn't done that yet. Monica told me she was going to try not to scream this time, but she still did. I tried to sit and read but couldn't concentrate with all the loud music playing. So I went to the lazy river with Lynn and Karilee. KK sat on my lap the whole time and she was so cute, giggling at everything. When we passed some water spouts, she giggled. When we passed the waterfalls, she giggled.

I took Karilee around the park and got lunch, and Lynn and Gwen sat with us for lunch upstairs under the shade. We all look so alike. I guess I would look more like them if my bangs hadn't been pinned up, but we could've all passed for sisters.

Ms. Dolly came up and I went down the stairs with her. She and I were going to race on the body slides but we couldn't so we had to sit on one slide together. We still had fun, though!

I think Gianna got to have a late lunch in the Birthday Zone with her friends and Charlene and some others. (But later, Gracie told Gianna that the pizza Aunt Becca had bought had made her want to throw up.)

I couldn't believe it the next time I got in the wave pool! I just couldn't believe it! Devon was holding Lynn in his arms, and they looked like they were really into each other. Lynn had her own arms around his neck. Lynn told me they'd kissed and she was so excited. I couldn't wait to hear about it all later.

Monica and I did our swim workout in the regular pool, and it really gave our arms a workout! Dolly and Brienna had been watching us and told us we did good. There had been a lot of people to swim through, but it wasn't that bad. I sat down in a chair in front of the Twin Cyclone slides and watched Gianna, Kayla, Gracie, and Charlene come out, laughing together.

We left Nashville Shores at 3:00.
