Today Sure Wasn't Boring

The big day came. My mom went to court this morning while Oxana, Ms. Dolly, Karilee, and I stayed home and I cleaned up the stupid kitchen. My mom ended up not going straight to jail so she came home. She doesn't go to jail until tomorrow, and it will be for the entire summer.

My mom didn't drink today at all, just ran some errands and took a nap.

Karilee wanted me to go outside with her, so I took her out on the deck. She wanted to go down in the sand pit where the pool used to be, so I told her she would have to go down the deck stairs, and she went down there for a few minutes. I told her not to go in the mud, and if she went in the mud, she would have to sit back on the deck with me. Well, the kid went and stepped in the mud and then ran back up to the deck where I was! Her mommy would be unhappy about her white shoes getting all dirty. I can only imagine what Ms. Dolly is going to say tomorrow.

I don't know if you remember Alejandra, but Alejandra came over today, and then my siblings came home with our aunt and cousin. They had a half day at school so they got to shower early and come home early. (It was field day for the little kids so they must've been all hot and sweaty.) Ms. Dolly left to take a shower and I heard her telling my aunt that she would probably leave Karilee at our house tonight and see how she did without her mommy.

Karilee did start asking where her mommy was, but I distracted her. I read Karilee a story that she picked out. It was a Dr. Seuss book that my mom used to read me when I was KK's age. Charlene was standing there, listening to the book, too.

I was working on these letters I'm writing about my siblings and Gianna, and I have been using their full names and I went to ask Gianna what her middle and last name were. (Can you believe she's lived here for almost a year and I still don't know her full name?) She was going outside, and I talked to her there. Aunt Becca came out there hollering Gianna's name, and Gi hid. I didn't blame her. Why can't Aunt Becca just let her daughter have fun and not be breathing down her neck all the time?

When I finally got to ask what Gianna's last name was, she told me her mom had the same last name, but her dad didn't. No wonder the kid misbehaves all the time. Her dad isn't in the picture and her mom is always screaming at her and spanking her. She spanked her right when Oxana and I brought her inside today!

My mom, Karilee, Alejandra, and I ran some errands and then my mom, Oxana, Alejandra, and I watched The Devil Wears Prada.
