Boy, we were excited to go to Nashville Shores today!! Of course, Gianna kept taking off her clothes to change into her swimsuit and Aunt Becca yelled and yelled at her for taking her shirt off. Then I had to talk to Sheyenne. She said she didn't know whether to trust Ms. Dolly after all that had happened almost a year ago and I told her that she really needed to talk to Ms. Dolly and tell her how she felt. I also assured her that Dolly was never going to do anything with Joseph again because she's engaged to Brennan now.
Dolly and Sheyenne talked a little while before we left so they could have fun at Nashville Shores together without there being any tension.
Mary-Anne (Erica's big sister) and I were talking and Mary-Anne agreed to be workout buddies with me and Monica because the three of us want to lose weight. Erica also says Mary-Anne is always grouchy but maybe all she needs is friends to hang out with and then she won't be grumpy at all.
When we went to Nashville Shores, I was proven right. After waiting in the line to get my picture taken, I joined my friends and had fun with Erica, Monica, and Anabelle in the pool. (Anabelle, Marina, Madeline, and Lynn were at NS, too.)
Erica, Mary-Anne, Monica, and I got in line for the Big Kahuna, which is the family raft slide. None of them had ever been on it before and I knew Erica and Monica were excited. I could tell. Mary-Anne didn't look excited, but I knew she was. Who wouldn't be? She probably was looking forward to it, and glad that she had us to go with.
Halfway up the line, Erica told us her mom had texted her and told her that she was going to pick up her "stupid brother". I guess Mrs. Marla wanted her son to come have fun at Nashville Shores, too.
Erica, Mary-Anne, Monica, and I went on the Big Kahuna with a man and a woman, and Erica and Monica were screaming excitedly while Mary-Anne and I just sat there enjoying the ride silently. Erica and Monica really screamed when everything went pitch black.
Mrs. Marla's 10-year-old son Jacob was at Nashville Shores when we got off the Big Kahuna. He was in the wave pool with us, much to Erica's protest.
Then Erica and I got in the lazy river, and Jadyn came in with her baby and caught up to us. Jadyn is so cute with Joanna.
Monica sure got scared of the Big Scream!! She wouldn't ride it again. (I hope she still does another time, though.)
Destiny and I rode the same float in the lazy river, and I'm glad no "real" people could see us because it looks mighty strange for a 23-year-old woman to be riding on top of a teenager in a float!
Destiny and I were jumping with the waves in the wave pool and Dessie tried to get Ms. Dolly to jump with us, but Dolly said she didn't think she had the energy. Then Lynn told Ms. Dolly that Sheyenne was mad at her (again) because Ms. Dolly wouldn't unfollow Joseph on Twitter. Dolly sounded surprised that she was even still following him but Lynn said, "Don't play innocent with me" and she was annoyed with Dolly for not understanding what she was saying. Dolly says she's following him to make sure he doesn't tweet any of our friends but Lynn thinks there are other ways to protect against Joseph than to follow him on Twitter.
When the sun was setting, it was time to get in the pool (the regular one, also known as the Lagoon pool). After I swam with Brienna, it was time Mary-Anne, Monica, and I began our swim workout. We swam across the pool and back several times using mostly just our arms. We were really working at it! It's a good way to lose arm fat. Diesel arms don't look good on girls.
We got out of the pool for a minute and heard Lynn and Erica getting to know each other. But when Lynn talked to Mary-Anne when we got back in the pool, asking her her name and how old she was, Mary-Anne didn't seem to want to chat with her. Then Monica hollered at Lynn to move because we were about to swim again, and I think it actually hurt Lynn's feelings!!
But Lynn swam and hung out with Erica while I swam with Mary-Anne and Monica. The whole time we were swimming, Mary-Anne and Erica's mom was sitting on the steps, holding the baby.
Aunt Becca was too busy yelling at everyone to care about anything else. (Brienna had told the younger kids to tick Aunt Becca off as much as they could.) Aunt Becca was yelling at Enna because she wouldn't come when called and Becca had to go after her, and Timmy was climbing on the water spout thing in the pool. Charlene and Gracie were running all around the pool after Aunt Becca told them to walk, and Enna got yelled at because her dancing (to the music that was playing) was inappropriate, according to our aunt.
Now, our aunt is in the dirty 30s. Can't she have a little fun??
This girl in the pool who's 17 like me named Courtney was watching our aunt, thinking the whole thing was funny (which it was).
Courtney was hanging out with Jadyn, who was hanging out with Erica, and they seemed to be getting along great already. I bet they were all laughing at my aunt, making a fool of herself in front of all of us. I was surprised Aunt Becca could just sit and enjoy the fireworks for Memorial Day. Of course, she had to snap at Gianna for talking during the fireworks (which a lot of people were doing). She didn't really yell that whole time, though.
The fireworks were colorful and pretty, and it was a brilliant display.
Everyone but me and Gianna left to shower, and Gianna and I had to shower together. It gave us a chance to talk before Gianna went to bed, though (it was already 10:00 pm) and I asked Gianna about her fun day and how she felt about her mom always screaming at her (she'd spanked her earlier, along with Enna).
Xoxo~ M
