Chapter 8



Edward’s POV



In disbelieve I stared at her. And I stared. And stared. I opened my mouth to say something, but I couldn’t. Then I burst out laughing because of the ridiculous situation. ‘are you serious?’ I asked. But I already knew the answer. And not because I could read her minds. Hey, that’s strange! I can’t read her minds! Before I could think about this new discovery, she said ‘of course! Why should I lie about something important as this?’ and I knew she was right. But then I thought of something. ‘how can you be a teacher? Teachers are getting older’ I said. I knew it sounded really weird. ‘good question’ she said. ‘it’s my gift’ and I stared at her again. First a vampire and then a gift that I didn’t understood? Okay then.. I had to think about all this information. How is this possible? Who changed her? Why? And even more important, where is that vampire? I thought about this all while I forgot miss Swan completely.



Bella’s POV



I could see he was thinking. I waited a few seconds, and then I said ‘don’t you want to know what my gift is?’. I surprised him. I saw him nodding. I said to him ‘I have a shield. With that I can make everyone see what I want them to see. Only inside this shield. When I put it ‘off’, you can see how I’m really looking’ and I putted the shield off. I saw his eyes getting bigger. I laughed. What he saw was a 17 year old looking girl with a white pale skin. Just like every vampire. ‘how, how, how did you get your eyes gold/caramel?’ he asked. I didn’t suspect that question. ‘how did you got gold/caramel eyes?’ I replied. I could see at his face that he totally didn’t liked the reply I gave him. Really fast I answered ‘I drink animal blood’. He didn’t looked surprised. ‘me too’ he said. I nodded. ‘why?’ Edward asked. ‘because I know everyone in this village’ I said. ‘I can’t kill someone that I know. And I can’t kill a family member of one of my students. So there aren’t many options left’ I said. He nodded again.



Alice’s POV

I was sitting on the cough when I got a vision. I saw Edward coming home, but he wasn’t alone. He was followed by a car that was to ugly to see! It was a pickup truck, and it was orange. But a pickup truck! Why should Edward take anyone to come over AND that they have a pickup truck? That’s so not fashionable! And the vision was done again. I saw Jazzy sitting next to me, looking worried. ‘it’s nothing. I just saw that we’re going to shop soon’ I said. I could see him making a little sigh, but then it was over again. Jasper focused on the news again. I watched as well. It was about a zoo where the animals broke out. Really weird and all. It was so boring, that I stood up and walked upstairs to do my homework. I would be done with it within a few minutes, but I wanted to do something. I picked up my books and I started.



Edward's POV

‘so Alice, Emmett, Esmé and Carlisle Cullen and Jasper and Rosalie hale are vampires as well?’ miss Swan asked. ‘yes miss’ I said. I could see that she didn’t liked it. ‘please call me Bella. Only miss Swan in the lesson’ she replied. ‘okay Bella’ I said. She smiled. Then I remembered something. ‘where do you live?’ I asked. ‘close to the reservation’ she replied. ‘eeeh’ I said. She laughed. ‘the reservation. La Push. Close to first beach.’ She said. She laughed when she saw that I still didn’t had an idea where that should be. ‘where do you live then?’ she asked. ‘I live close, more or less in, the forest’ I replied. Then I remembered something. ‘you don’t know my whole family yet!’ I said. ‘do you want to meet them?’ ‘yes I would love it to meet some  vampires!’ she replied. I chuckled. Normal people would run away for this idea, and this woman/vampire woman loved it!
