Chapter 36: confusion

Chapter 14

Bella’s POV

Edward turned around immediately, spotting Emmett. From the corner of my eye I could see Jacob fighting Victoria. Good. Now he knows that she doesn’t have Jade, she can’t blackmail him anymore. ‘Well well well, how touching! Unfortunately, he will die’ Emmett said. ‘Oh, by the way, I am not pathetic little Emmett’ he said. Then, his appearance started to change. In a few seconds, it wasn’t Emmett anymore, standing in front of us. It was Greg. ‘You!’ I said, looking at him. ‘Me’ he replied, looking back. I knew Edward didn’t know what was going on, but I couldn’t care less at the moment. I stood up and came closer to him. ‘I thought you were dead’ I casually said. ‘Thought the same about you. Until I heard rumors from the Volturi, and here I am’ he replied. ‘You have spent the previous 15 years serving the Volturi?’ I asked him surprised. ‘Yes, I did. Now they think I am okay, I won’t have them behind me when I do something they won’t like. Something like this’ he said. ‘But why?’ I asked him, looking him straight into the eyes. ‘Because, Isabella Swan, I love you’ he said.

Jade’s POV

As soon as it had started, as soon as it was over. A lot of vampire bodies laid on the ground, body parts missing. We made a big pile, and set fire on it. The purplish smoke could be smelled all over the place. All of a sudden, Alice screamed. Jasper rushed to her side. The rest of us walked over to her as well. ‘They are coming!’ she squeaked. ‘Who?’ Jasper asked. ‘The Volturi!’ Alice replied. It felt like I was human again, and all air was pressed out of me. I even started to see black spots instead of my always clear vision. They can’t be coming. It is not possible. They can’t be. I kept repeating that in my head, even though I knew Alice was almost always right. If she said the Volturi was coming, they really were coming. ‘Jade?’ I heard Carlisle ask. It seemed so far away. This can’t be happening now… Not now Darren’s death still is so fresh…  ‘There they are!’ Alice said, pointing at the fog at the other side of the open space. And indeed, the Volturi was coming.

Bella’s POV

I stared at him in disbelieve. This can’t be possible.. It can’t…

-Flashback-

‘Hurry! I can’t be late for school!’ I yelled, as Greg ran out of his house to the car. He was one of my best friends from school, and I always picked him up. He would get annoyed with my car, but I couldn’t care less. I loved it, so he had to deal with it. I opened the door for him, and he hopped in. Only, he looked different. I looked at him with a frown. ‘Are you okay?’ I asked him concerned. He looked at me, a bit pissed off. ‘Yes I am! Now shut up and drive’ he snapped. I looked at him, hurt showing in my eyes. The rest of the drive was silent. Until we reached school. Just before I wanted to get out of the car, his strong hand stopped me. I had never realized he was this strong. ‘Bella, you got to listen to me’ he said in a tone only he could use. ‘One day, you will understand. But for now, you have to stay away from me’ the next second, he wasn’t in the car anymore. I looked around, but I didn’t see him. At school, everyone told me Greg had moved away, and that he wouldn’t return. I had never been this confused in my life.

-End Flashback-

‘All that time…’ I said. ‘Not all that time. 3 days before that one day’ he said, looking at me. ‘You said you were ill! How could you lie to me like that?!’ I yelled at him. ‘I didn’t lie! I really was ill! The fire made me! And what did you expect me to tell you? “Hi Bella! I am a vampire now, and I can kill you any second!” As if that’s going to work’ he said, his old snappy self returning. ‘I would have understood Greg. Even if you wouldn’t tell me the complete truth’ I replied. ‘No you wouldn’t! Nobody would! I was all alone Bella! You left me alone’ he said. I looked at him angrily. ‘I left you alone? I LEFT YOU ALONE?!?! You are the one who left ME alone! For all those years, I have thought you were dead. All that time, Greg! Then how can you say to me that I left you? You didn’t give me the chance to help you! You were an egoistic asshole’ I spit at him. He looked at me, fire shown in his eyes. I knew I had gone too far, but all those years of frustration were out now. I felt better, which I hadn’t done for ages. ‘You shouldn’t have done that, Isabella Swan’ he said angrily. ‘STOP CALLING ME ISABELLA!’ I yelled at him. ‘I will. I will when you agree to become my wife’ he replied.

‘NEVER IN MY LIFE!’ I yelled back at him. During high school, I might’ve had a crush on him for a while. But it went over, because he left. ‘If you would’ve asked that during high school, I would’ve said yes. But now… Never’ I explained. ‘You shouldn’t have done that either, Isabella’ he said angrily. The next second, he was vanished. Edward put his arm around my shoulder. ‘Victoria is dead’ he said softly. I turned around to see Victoria’s body burning like it should’ve burned a long time ago. It was over. Even Jacob was okay. At least, he seemed okay. Then, I could hear a scream coming from the open field, and I knew it was Jade. My eyes widened. What if he had done something…

Jacob, Edward and I rushed down as quickly as we could. Just before we reached the others, there jumped another new born from behind a rock. It caught Jacob, and crushed him completely. He howled, before he shifted back to his human form, having broken almost every single bone in his body. I rushed over to him to kill the newborn, but Sam seemed to know what I was thinking. After the head was ripped of the body, he immediately shifted back to human form and let himself fall next to Jacob. ‘We got to take him back to the house’ I heard him say. ‘The Volturi is here’ Edward said. I took my eyes of this horrifying scene, to let them see another.

Jade’s POV

As the Volturi came walking into the scene, I was trying to keep myself together. They really were here. I told myself to stand up straight, and pretend as if nothing happened. When they came closer, I could see her. The woman who ruined my life. The woman who killed the person I loved. Jane. I wanted to run over to her, to scream at her, to kill her. But I didn’t. Instead, I looked her straight into the eyes. That was when the pain came. I felt to the ground, feeling as if there was inserted a knife at every single place on my body. ‘Stop it’ I could hear a familiar voice say. The pain stopped immediately. I looked up, to see the person who had been my light in the darkness. The person who I had loved for the past years. The person who I thought was dead. My Darren.

THAT WAS A BABAM CHAPTER, WASN'T IT?

Yes, I added Greg to the story, JUST CAUSE I CAN! Anyways, Eclipse still isn't over! Wow! I feel so bad! Haha, it had to be finished with Chapter 35... Anyways, here was the next chapter! I hope to have chappy 37 up asap, but I am not sure when I have time.
