Chapter 25: set fire to the vamp

Chapter 3

Bella's POV

 I walked into the room, to see Edward sitting on the couch. ‘Wazzup?’ I asked him. He looked at me with a pulled up eyebrow. ‘Sorry, hang out with Emmett too much’ I declared. He smiled his crooked smile, and sat back again. I sat down next to him. ‘What’s going on in that head of yours? I’m not a mind reader, so I don’t know’ I said. He looked at me. ‘I was just wondering what we have to do when Victoria is here’ he said. ‘Ehm, what do you think of fighting?’ I said. ‘No, not that. But with the wolves, and you’ he said. ‘How do you mean, with the wolves and you?’ I asked curious. ‘Well, the wolves only trust you, and since Victoria thinks you’re human, you can’t fight’ Edward said. I stared at him as if he just said that James woke up from the death. ‘I’m going to fight, if you like it or not. And I don’t freaking care if Victoria knows if I’m human or not. If it all comes out good, then she’ll be dead after the fight and she won’t be able to tell it to anyone anyways. And the wolves are our only options. Ore you want to ask Tanya…’ I said. ‘No please not!’ Edward said immediately. I had to laugh a bit. ‘Edward, please relax a bit. I think most of the wolves see this as an entertainment trip. And I think that somewhere, your family does as well. The army is not going to hurt them’ I said. ‘But what if they will hurt you?’ Edward said. ‘They won’t. And I’m resisted against a bit of pain’ I said with a sigh.

Emmett’s POV

I looked at the clock to see that I had to go to school. I grabbed my bag and rushed to my jeep. I was quite happy that I was the first one to be here, cause we would go with my jeep then. We had a stupid rule, that the one that’s here first, can drive and choose the car. Only Edward and Rose almost always go with their owns. And then a genius idea popped into my minds. I did my “plan”, stepped into my car and drove away. While driving to school, I wished I could see the faces of the rest when they would get to the garage. I started to smile. I would be dead after this day, but at least I had fun. After I drove onto the parking lot and I parked my jeep, I grabbed my bag and walked into the school. I started to whistle some kind of song.

Bella’s POV

I walked into the school, right into the arms of Mister Newman. He actually was called Mister Hoogewerf, but it came out that wasn’t his real name and stuff. He was married to Mrs. Newman. ‘I was just looking for you’ he said. I started to panic. What? What? ‘What?’ I said. ‘Oh, nothing special, please help me by moving the bench in the gym, that’s all’ he said. I gave a sigh of relief. As we walked to the gym, I felt something. It was unpleasant. I looked over my shoulder, to see the smiling face of Mister Newman. When we were inside the gym, I heard the door closing, and it was locked. ‘Well, well, well’  Mister Newman said. ‘What’s going on?’ I asked him curious. With his hands, he moved to his face. He pulled of a mask, and I saw a face as white as chalk, and bright red eyes. I wanted to scream, but also laugh. ‘You thought that Victoria would be tricked that easily’ he said. I just stared. What happened to the real Mister Newman? I knew it already. He was bitten by Victoria. I sighed. And then, all of a sudden, he attacked. I  blocked him off, turned around, and in one movement I snapped his head off. ‘I’m sorry’ I said, as I set fire to the body in the gym. I wished I didn’t do so, cause the fire alarm went off.

As I rushed outside of the gym, I saw a lot of people go into panic. As I tried to calm everyone down and evacuate them, I saw Emmett looking at me with a questioning glare. I answered that with my “I’ll explain later, there are too many humans” glare and Emmett had to laugh. This resulted in a lot of confused glares. Now I had to laugh. This resulted in more confused glares. And Emmett had to laugh again… But let’s continue. After everyone was outside, the fire-fighters came. In my head I slammed my face, cause I didn’t extinguish the fire. I saw everyone looking scared, and I went to talk with the principal. ‘We should sent them home’ he informed me. I nodded. ‘I’ll help you’ I said. Now he nodded. I walked to all the students and said that they could go home. At the end, only Emmett was left. He stared at the building. I came standing next to him. ‘Okay, what the hell happened there?’ he asked. ‘Well’ I said most innocent. ‘Just say it. I think I’ve done worse things’ he said. I sighed, and I told Emmett what happened. ‘Well, Mister Hoogewerf was a vampire, got me into the gym, came out he works with Victoria, tried to kill me, I killed him, set fire to him, and then the fire-alarm went off’ I said. Emmett smiled. ‘What?’ I asked him. ‘Now I can skip school, while I have permission!’ he said happily, while walking off to his jeep.
