Chapter 17
Bella’s POV
Once, there were 2 young people.1 was a farmer, 1 a prince. They thought they were different. But slowly, they started to talk. Slowly, they started to become friends. Even the king of the country couldn’t break them up. But he tried! He putted the farmer in jail, and forbid the prince to even go outside. The prince did this. In secret, he walked to the jail. There, he met his friend, every evening. When his father found out, he made a decision. He couldn’t break real friendship! He set the farmer free. After years, they were still friends. That farmer is my grandfather, so your over-over grandfather, Isabella. You see, friendship is stronger then everything.
My grandmother always told me this story when I was young. I loved it to hear about the prince and the farmer. At that moment I didn’t thought of the real meaning of this story. Soon I would find out.

‘Noway!’ I said. ‘Yesway!’ Jake said. ‘JAKE!’ I yelled. ‘Bells! Great to hear you again!’ Jake said. ‘I’m so happy that you finally got your memory’s back!’ ‘I’m happy as well! Seth recorded me when I lost it. Wow, I was stupid!’ ‘Wow, finally someone besides me sees it!’ we started laughing. I stopped just too soon. ‘Everything okay?’ he asked. ‘Yes, or no, maybe’ I said. ‘That are 3 different answers. It wasn’t multiple choice’ ‘Well, this all started because I’m a vampire. Just the question, do you still like me?’ I asked with a shaky voice. ‘How do you mean, still like you?’ Jake said with a voice I never heard him using. ‘Well, you kind off ran away when you found out, so’ ‘Bella, that was not your fault. I’m just a bad-ass, you know. And stupid, because I didn’t knew I was talking with a vampire. I always wondered how that would be. I thought something like: “Die, vampire, die!” “No, never, you mutt!” you know’ I started laughing. ‘If I had told you earlier, this wouldn’t be a problem. I’m sorry’ ‘Bella, can’t you see it? You apology for everything! And between you and me, if it was on another time, I would’ve freaked out as well’ he said. I knew that was true. Then Edward came in. ‘Got to go, see you later!’ ‘See you later, Bells!’

‘Going to the reservation. Bye!’ I yelled. In a second, Edward was in front of me. ‘To the mutts?’ he asked. I got pissed off with him. ‘No, to talking cheese. Of course I’m going to them! I haven’t spoke to Jake since last week!’ ‘Keep your thoughts for you, Emmett’ Edward said. ‘Without you, they would’ve been for myself’ Emmett said. ‘What was the thought?’ I asked to Emmett. ‘That Super Eddy here has to let you go. You’re not a little child, but a window-using vampire dude!’ he said. Him pronouncing the words Super Eddy made me grin. I looked at Edward, and I thought I saw a bit of a smile. Just for a mini-second. Then it was gone again. ‘Please?’ I said with my puppy eyes. ‘No’ he said. I put on my shield, and showed him a real puppy with better puppy eyes. ‘Please?’ ‘Noho!’ ‘Wow! Your strong! My dog is the best!’ I said. He gave me his crooked smile. ‘But why do I have to as···’ I couldn’t finish my sentence. ‘They’re here!’ I yelled. Edward ran into the house. ‘Loser’ I whispered, as I ran out of the house to the reservation. When I ran to it (my car wasn’t fast enough), I bumped into Jade. ‘Hey, I’m sorry’ she said. I nodded. She wanted to walk away, but I stopped her. I asked her the question that I wanted to ask for a long period of time right now.
‘Jade, do you know James from something? The way you talked to him at the baseball field and in the dance-studio sounded like you hate him’ I asked. She sighed. ‘Shall we sit down?’ she asked. I nodded. As soon as I saw a stone, I sat on it. Jade sat down next to me. ‘As you know, I’ve been in an army. My creators should be dead by now’ she said. ‘Wait, should be?’ I asked. ‘Yes. But, my creators didn’t showed us their real identity. So, the three vampires that created us, where actually James, Victoria and Laurant. To be more precise, James bit me’ she said. Wow. I was impressed. ‘Since when do you know this?’ I asked. ‘Since I saw James. I just knew it. After a few seconds I also recognized Victoria and Laurant’ she said. I nodded. ‘Thanks for telling me this’ I said. ‘No problem, Bells’ she said. Before one of us could stand up, I asked her another question. ‘Where are you going when you’re not here?’ I asked. ‘Oh, I found a nice little house, close to first beach’ she said. My mouth felt open. ‘First street?’ I asked. ‘Yep. Number 13’ ‘Number 15! WOW! We’re neighbors!’ I said. She started to smile. ‘The wolves that live in the reservation are cool, you know’ Jade said. ‘You know them?’ I asked. She nodded. ‘They don’t hate you for being a vampire?’ I asked. ‘Nope’ she said. With a smile I stood up and said bye to Jade. Then, I continued my journey to La Push.
When I knocked on the front door of Jake’s house, Jake himself opened it. When he saw me, he hugged me so tight that I couldn’t breathe. Not that that is a problem, but still. I was in my vampire look. After Jake hugged me 5 minutes long, I said: ‘Jake, I know I’m a vampire, but still I would love it to breathe, you know’ he laughed and let me go. ‘Sorry. I’ve just missed you so much!’ he said. I smiled at him. ‘Actually, I was just going to Sam and the pack. Would you like it to come with me?’ he asked. I hesitated. ‘They’ll hate me! You haven’t seen Sam looking at me when he found out what I was’ ‘You think that’s a problem for them? They hate vampires, but you’re just an exception. And I’ve heard that you saved me, together with Seth, so they quite love you at the moment’ he convinced me. ‘Okay, I’m coming’ I decided. Jake smiled at me. As I followed him, some people in the reservation stared at me. I knew they couldn’t see me sparkle, because I blocked that with my shield. Then I thought of the fact that they never had seen someone like me before. At that moment I wanted that Jake would walk a bit faster.
‘We did a good job today, guys! Can anyone get Jacob, because I·’ Sam stopped in the middle of his sentence, because he saw us. He started to smile. ‘No need for that anymore, here I am’ Jacob said. ‘Wow. There was really need to say that, you know’ Seth said. I laughed, just as most of the wolves. ‘I just want to say, Bella, we’re still hating vampires, but you’re an exception. You’ve been living with us for the past 15 years, and you’ve never showed any enemy ship or whatever, so we think it is okay for you to come to La Push’ Sam said. ‘Thanks Sam. Thank you all’ I said. ‘One thing, Bella’ Seth said. ‘Tell me?’ I replied. ‘Can you cover with your shield your smell as well?’ Seth said. I started laughing. This time everyone joined in. ‘Yes, I can, Seth, yes I can’ I said as I covered my smell. ‘Thanks, vampire-girl’ Seth said. ‘You’re not going to stop with that, don’t you?’ I asked. ‘Nope’ he said with a smile that covered his whole face. I looked around. It was so nice to have good friends! At that moment I didn’t thought of the reaction of Edward when I would return, because I was sure he was going to freak out.
Hey guys. I DID IT! I FINALLY UPLOADED! I’m sorry for taking so long, but I was really busy. Everyone’s saying that the second year is one of the hardest, and it’s just proved. Because I’m so sorry, I’m trying to upload in a few days the next chapter already. Just as a gift to say sorry. Don’t hate me for this XD
