The deer tried to swim, but instead it was being drifted away by the strong currents. I began panicking, especially since the deer was a baby.

What if I jump in and save it?

Yes, that's what I should do.

I got in the water, and it began pulling me forwards. I swam to the baby deer, I got nearer and I grabbed it with two hands. I then walked out of the water, while carrying the poor deer. It was shaking from the cold.

"Awe, lets get you warm." I said to the baby deer, placing it on the floor. It shook its body, making some water go on me.

I looked down and my dress was wet and so was my hair.I began shaking because the water was so cold.

I petted the baby deer. I hugged it, and surprisingly the deer like my warmth.

"Need help?" Someone asked. I turned around and Austin was standing there with his hands in his pockets.

I stood up and looked at him. "Wh-What are you d-doing he-here?" I stuttered.

I was still cold, so the words came out shaky from my mouth.

"I followed you." He said taking a step towards. I took a step back, and we did that until I was pressed against a tree.

"Your cold." He said touching my arm. I shivered as he rubbed his hand up and down my arm.

I looked at him, and he stared into my eyes. He then caressed my cheek with his thumb.

"Don't you have a girlfriend?" I asked with a cold tone, while looking away.

"Yes, but your cold I'm going to warm you up." He said pulling me to his chest. He wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me.

I liked his warmth, so I wrapped my arm around his neck and hugged him.

"You don't have to do this." I said staring into his eyes.

"I messed up Scarlett. I messed up terribly, I lost the most amazing person in my life. I need you back." He said looking at me with a sad face.

"Austin you did mess up. I'm sorry but we can only be friends. I can't go back with you again, I can't deal with another broken heart." I said letting a tear escape.

He placed both his hands on my face, cupping it. He wiped away the tear with his thumb.

"I'm so sorry for breaking up with you. Please give me another chance." He said letting tears escape from his eye. I stepped back, away from his touch.

"I'm sorry Austin. You can't ask for another chance when you clearly have a girlfriend right now." I said glaring at him.

He sighed and turned around giving me his back to me. I looked down and tears began escaping running down my cheek.

"I lost something so special, someone who had a beautiful smile. A sweet personality, someone who was so beautiful, fill with joy. I lost her, but I still want her back." He whispered with a sad tone. He still had his back to me.

"Austin..." I said softly.

He turned around and walked to me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I tried to get out of his grip but he pulled me close to his chest.

"I never reminded you how beautiful you are. How much I love you, I was a horrible boyfriend."

"You weren't the best but you certainly weren't the worst." I said placing a kiss on his cheek. He smiled.

"I miss your kisses so much." He said burying his face in my neck. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him.

"I love you Scarlett. No matter what happens, you'll always have a place in my heart." He mumbled against my skin.

A tear escaped my eye.

I pulled away from the hug and I cupped his face with my hands.

"I love you so much, Austin. I love you no matter what. You'll always have a place in my heart, also. I care about you, but at the same time I don't love you the way I used to."

A tear escaped his eye, and I couldn't help but feel heart broken.

"I'm such an asshole!" He yelled giving me his back.

I flinched. I hugged from behind, burying my face in his shoulder.

"No your not Austin. Things happen for a reason, you lost me for a reason."

He shook his head. And removed my arms from him. Pushing me against the tree. I fell down as I crashed against it, he turned around and his eyes softened.

"I'm so sorry Scarlett. I don't know what's wrong with me." He said kneeling down to my level. I was sitting on the ground and my back was hurting me.

Austin tried to grab my hand, but I slapped it hard.

"Don't touch me." I growled. Austin seemed surprised from my sudden mood change.

"I'm leaving. Goodbye Austin." I said running away from him.

He ran after me and I tripped on a rock. I fell on my knees and hands. I was breathing fast.

"Are you okay?" Austin asked softly. I was still facing the ground. I turned around and our faces were so close, I could fill his breath fanning against my skin.

"I-I'm fine." I stuttered. He smiled.

"Good." He muttered before standing up, he extended his hand. I took it and he helped me get up.

"I have to go now. Thanks." I said walking away.

"Wait! Scarlett!" He yelled running to me. I turned around and he crashed his lips against mine.

Bolts of electricity went through me. Austin wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me close to him. I put my arms around his neck, caressing his hair. We stayed like looking into each others eyes. He got closer and placed a kiss on my forehead and cheek. I smiled at him.

I pulled away and I looked at his eyes. His eyes showed so much emotion. Guilt, sadness, sorry, and anger.

"I guess this is goodbye, Austin. Stay safe." I muttered walking away.

"I love you Scarlett. Always will." He said from behind.

I felt tears escaped from my eye, as I continued to walked back to the park.

'I love you Scarlett. Always will.' Those were the last words I heard from Austin.

I went back to school, but I didn't see him at all. Danielle told me he went back to Miami for a month. I actually felt sad, because even through he messed up. I still loved him, but I know in my heart that I'm not getting back with him. He made a huge mistake, and I can't bear getting heartbroken again.

His words remained in my head. He said that he loved me, the kiss.. Oh the kiss..

How much I miss feeling my lips against his.

He truly was an amazing guy, but like I said I can't have another broken heart. Jacob had asked me last night, if he could see Austin again. And I couldn't help but feel a sharp pain in my heart at the mention of his name. Jacob loved Austin like a brother, and my mom loved him like a son. But she is angry at him for breaking her baby girl heart. I couldn't help but chuckle when she said that.


A knock on the door made me snap out of my thoughts.

"Hello Scarlett?" My mom asked from behind the door.

"I'm here. Come in." I said sitting up on my bed.

"Hey honey." She said asking towards me. She sat down on the corner of my bed. She looked at me with worry in her eyes.

"Mom? What's wrong?" I asked worried.

"Honey I have bad news."

I looked at her with a worried expression on my face. "Wh-What?" I asked with a worried tone.

"We're moving."
