Liz's POV

After I left Sophie's I went straight at Mike's. And of course I called first.

Before we got our superpowers, I went by at his house without calling once. It turned out he wasn't there and his dad was there, and when the babysitter called and canceled I had to take care of his younger siblings, so his parents could go out. I don't blame them, his dad is a pilot, he is away a lot. He deserves a night with his wife. In short, I am not making that same mistake again.

Anyway, if I was to get Sophie and Jake to make up, I needed help.

Now, you are going to ask why I didn't ask help from Charlie. Charlie has been very secretive lately. More than usual.

He has kind of distanced himself from us. I don't know if it is because of the "accident" or he goes through a phase or he has problems at home, but I am stubborn and if he doesn't trust us, I won't trust him with my plan.

Speaking of stubborn, Sophie and Jake were both sorry, but they were too stubborn to admit it to each other, especially Sophia, who wouldn't even admit it to herself.

And apart from all that, there was our first "mission". As much as I hate to admit it, I was nervous, and so were the others. We hadn't even trained well enough. What if we got shot, or one of us fell of a building, or one of us died ? It is not like we are going for a Crab-Patty with Spongebob. We are going to fight robbers, murderers, thugs.

All these thoughts bothered me so much on my way to Mike's that I didn't ever realize I was there. I knocked on the door and his young sister opened the door. Alice Sharp was a cutie, and believe me, you don't hear me saying these words once a year.

Mike came from his room to greet me.
"Hey, is everything alright?" He asked.

"Yep. We just need to get your best friend make up with my best friend." I replied.

"Promise you won't play matchmaker?" He said with a sigh. Well, he knows me too well.

"Dammit... Okay." I say in defeat and we go to his room.

In the end, we decided I would call Sophie and tell her to meet up with me at the park, and Mike would do the same with Jake. But instead of us waiting to meet with them, they would meet each other. Simple as that. A cliché that works, most of the time, at least.

Actually, a little matchmaking wouldn't hurt, but I promised, dammit. What if Mike never found out though? If I turned into an old lady and... Nah. Too risky. Sophie would figure it out on the spot and then I am doomed.

"So... What now?" Mike asks shaking me out of my serious thoughts. Get the sarcasm? 'Course you do.

"We could go spy on them!" I suggest.
"You promised, no matchmaking." He replies.

"I didn't say anything about matchmaking! Just spying on them. What if the plan goes wrong? We need to know what they will do to us when they figure out what happened." I smirk. He sighs in defeat. What can I say? I am irresistible.

"Get ready, you idiot! Time to go to the park and make sure we hide well in a place where we can watch them!" I laugh. Then I go out so he can change out of his pajamas.

A few minutes later we were walking down the street to the park. We found a couple bushes at the place Jake and Sophie were supposed to meet and hid there. It would be kind of impossible for them to see us or realize we were there. The perfect spot to hide.

At the thought of what Sophia would do to me when she saw me, I burst out lauging.
"Shush! You are going to give us away!" Mike complained.
"Sorry! It's just so funny imagining Sophie trying not to curse at me!" I busrt out laughing again and this time he joined in.

Sophie didn't like cursing. When she couldn't help it she turned red and looked like she would explode, but she still didn't call any names. It was hilarious, but we managed to keep our laughter under control, because she was really scary when she wanted to be.

The park was surprisingly empty, but for a couple families with their children, so when we heard footsteps we shut up and looked from the bushes.

Bingo! Sophie was here. Lured right into my trap! Just kidding.

Five minutes later, Jake showed up. Show time!

"What the hell?" We heard Jake say.

"Oh, no, she didn't." Sophie said wide-eyed. "I should have expected it..." She muttered but was still audible. She walked away and Jake grabbed her arm. I had to try very hard to supress that "squee" threatening to come out my mouth. I did get pretty red though and did some inhuman moves. At this sight Mike nearly died trying to supress his laughter.

"We need to talk." Jake said.

"No, we don't. I gotta go. I have to murder a friend of mine." She said.

"Sophie, come on, I didn't mean it!" And then Sophie snapped again, dammit. Everything was perfect up until then.

"Jake, Liz says I should listen to you because you have been through what I am going through right now, but I think that since you know, you shouldn't have snapped!" She glares at him.

"If you weren't putting up these walls, it wouldn't have happened!"

"You know I hate getting all the attention!"

"And I hate it when you are too stubborn to understand when you are wrong!" Jake retorts.

"Because I am not used to being wrong!" She bursts out crying. Dammit, what have I done...

"Leave me alone, Jake." She says and tries to walk away once again, but he hugs her. Oh, no. I can't contain it.

"SQUEEEE!!!" I say, Mike facepalms while Jake and Sophie turn horrified looking at the bushes.

I really did it this time...

A/N: Looks like Liz has an inner fangirl... Oops... :)
