Jake's POV

I was worried, I gotta admit. Sophie was pretty pale and the blood just kept running. After she fell asleep I went home, sneaking in from the window. My grandpa thought I was already sleeping and I had put some pillows under my blanket, just in case.

I wanted to find the guy that shot Sophie and beat him up, but he was already arrested and it would be weird (and I am definitely not weird) (don't you just love sarcasm?).

The next morning, all newspapers had us at the front page. It was kind of late, so there weren't any reporters at the big robbery last night and there weren't any photos. Not that I had a problem with that.

I wonder how they got the scoop ready for the paper so quickly. We finished a while after midnight and I don't think the cops were willing to talk to the reporters right after such a tiring night. Do you feel the sarcasm (again)?

We practically did everything last night. Sophie got shot, we helped the police arrest around ten criminals and we had school in the morning.

At school, everyone was talking about the robbery too. How did they find out, seriously?!

Last night, I had told Sophie to not come to school, but she disobeyed me. I should have known better.

She was still pale and looked tired. We should have taken her to the hospital, but she didn't want to go again and the doctors would ask a lot of questions.

When I saw her at school I was furious. When I asked her why she came, she just stared at me blankly. She nearly fainted a couple times, so Liz and I decided she wasn't going to be left alone at all.

Classes were more boring than ever, probably because of the fact that we spent all night fighting crime.

That's what we were up to tonight too, but we couldn't let Sophie come. She just insisted.

"Sophia Ophelia Dawn, you are staying at home and that's a final. You have to saw your jacket, anyway." I told her. She flinched at the sound of her full name, but in the end she agreed.

We were all at her house. We would all go out together and leave Sophie to get some rest.

We had ordered some pizza and were watching a movie until our "night out". We were all staying at Sophie's tonight, so we already had our stuff ready. Her mom wasn't coming yet and because Sophie was having trouble planning, so I told her I would ask my grandpa to help her. At that her face light up a little.

She even told the others about her telekinesis, and was surprised at their excited reaction.

Now, imagine five teenagers with superpowers watching Age of Ultron. It was Sophie's favorite and as "we couldn't let her come out with us she was choosing the movie".

"Why did the Pietro have to die?" I complain.

"To make Wanda mad." Sophie replies in tears. I think she is overemotional.

"This becomes ten times weirder when you have superpowers..." we hear Charlie whisper and we all laugh.

"At least it is not one of the old characters to die, we haven't grown as attached to Pietro as we have with Iron-Man or Hulk." Liz adds.

"Still! This guy is too new and young to die!" Mike complains.

"Please don't cry too..." I laugh.

"Not gonna happen, Light." he replies.

"Are we going to watch the movie or not?" Sophie tells us.

After the movie ended we said our goodnights to Sophie, just in case she was asleep when we returned, took the keys so we wouldn't wake her and left.

She was still mad, but it would be better than taking her out like this.

This time, I was with Mike and Charlie was with Liz.

Nothing big happened. We did stop a couple burglaries, but is was from people who wanted to see if the papers were telling the truth.

Liz and Charlie didn't get anyone, so probably either the crime rate fell in one night, or the criminals wanted to update their plans because of us. Most likely the second.

We were back at Sophie's by midnight.

"Back so soon? What happened?" she asked us.

"First off, nothing. just two burglaries. Secondly, why are you still up?" I ask her.

"I was waiting for you! No need to be rude!" she complains.

"Sorry..."

"Okay, if you two stop arguing like a married couple, we can go to sleep because we have school tomorrow." Mike joins in and we both blush. I swear, I have never seen Sophie redder in my life and I think the same goes for me.

"You do know how to make them shut up!" Liz tells him.

"Never said I couldn't." he replies.

"Guys, I don't know about you, bu-- but I want to go to sleep..." Charlie yawns.

"Okay... I have brought down the three sleeping bags and two of us take a couch each." Sophie says.

"And you, boys, will be three fine gentlemen and let the ladies take the couches." Liz adds.

"Okay, now stop talking... I am going to put my pajamas on..." Charlie replies grabbing his pajamas from his bag and going upstairs to the bathroom.

"Alright... Go get something to eat from the kitchen and I will get the sleeping bags and th-- the couches ready..." Sophie yawns too.

"Don't you want any help?" I ask her.

"No, go eat. Now." she says and goes upstairs.

Fifteen minutes later, we were all sleeping at the living room.

I woke up panting in the middle of the night. Everyone was sleeping, but Sophie wasn't there. I got up and went at the kitchen to get some water and found her crying.

"Hey! What happened?" I asked. I thought that the word "again" should be somewhere in there, but she was already upset.

Sophie looked up startled and wiped her tears.

"Nothing, just... my mom. She called again and said she won't be able to make it to the funeral and we argued again and..." she burst out crying again.

"Don't cry... Come on, I don't know what to do when this happens..." I sigh and she laughs a bit.

"It's okay. Your ignorance makes me feel better. Why are you up?" she asks.

"Nightmares." I blurt out before I can stop myself. She looks at me confused.

"What kind of nightmares?" she questions raising her eyebrow.

"It's nothing, really. I just came to get some water and go back to sleep."

"Well, go on then! I kept you awake, dammit... I am so sorry!" she starts.

"Nah, it's okay. And I am going to sleep only if you do too." I tell her and she nods in relief.

One is for sure; the others would have to try far too much to wake us up in the morning.
