Nicole's POV
The next day I woke up panicked thinking I was still at the hospital but when my eyes focused, I was in my room? I was confused but whatever. I checked the tome and it was 5 am so I quickly showered and threw on some clothes and made my way back to the hospital to be with Jamie.
Once I got there, I went into the room slowly and saw that Saul was sleeping on the chair.
He looked super uncomfortable and I was willing to bet he was going to have a sore neck.
I walked really slowly to where he was and woke him up like my mom used to by calling his name and running my hand up and down his arm in a comforting motion so that I wouldn't startle him.
He slowly woke up looking tired as can be. I could tell he was crying all night because of his tear stained cheeks. He checked his phone for the time. "Hey Nicole what are you doing here so early" "I woke up panicked not knowing how Jamie was and then realized I was home and decided to come keep her company"
"Oh yeah you fell asleep last night and I told Victor to take you home" "oh thank you that was very sweet but I'm here now refreshed and ready for today so why don't you go back to your hotel room and get some much needed rest"
"No Nicole I don't want to leave her I want to be here for when she wakes up. I can't and I won't leave her." "I understand where you're coming from but you look a mess not only physically but mentally. You need to collect yourself and then come back with a fresher mindset and appearance"
"I just.. I don't want to leave..." I crouched down next to him and held on to the arm of the chair "Look I'll tell you what why don't you go back to the hotel, shower and take a nap on a comfortable bed and I'll call you as soon as she wakes up so you can come quickly okay? the hospital isn't that far from the hotel" I said in a comforting soft voice as if I was speaking to a stubborn child while looking at him straight in the eyes.
He looked like he thought about it for a second and then nodded his head as he stood up. "okay fine um I guess I'll take your advice but please I beg, if she wakes up please, please, please call me" "Okay I will don't worry you just go and get some rest. I won't leave her side, she's in good hands"
He stood there for a little and stared at her and then proceeded to hug me goodbye and leave without saying another word. I sat down in the chair and just looked at her as well.
Saul's POV
Once I got back to my hotel room I got in the shower. Their was so much going on in my head. I was honestly gone. My body was here but my mind was somewhere else. I shook my head trying to shake off the million thoughts that we're going through my mind.
Nicole's words were re-playing in my head. "....You need to collect yourself and then come back with a fresher mindset-....." I finished my shower, put on some sweats and a hoodie and layed on the bed. I was tired but at the same time I wasn't. After doing more thinking I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
Nicole's POV
I was flipping through a magazine when I saw Jamie moving from the corner of my eye. She opened her eyes and smiled at me. "Oh my gosh Jamie babe you're awake!" "Yeah sorry I guess I overslept" she laughed. "come here and give me a hug girl" I dropped my magazine and gave her the biggest hug.
Since I had promised Saul I would let him know when Jamie woke up I took my phone out and was about to dial his number. "Who are you calling?" "Saul. I promised I'd let him know when you woke up. I sent him home earlier since he was here all night with you and looked rough"
"No please don't call him right now I want to spend some time with you, just you" I smiled and laughed a little "gosh Jamie you're out here making me break a promise I made. He's probably worried sick" "it's okay he can wait" "So how are you feeling?" "Good I actually feel so good. I don't know what the doctors did but I feel amazing" "That's great"
