Jamie's POV
Even though Saul looked like he was ready to fight him, Ricardo kept up with his conversation. "Listen I want to talk to the both of you, I understand I messed up jumping into conclusions and ending your relationship but the only thing I can do now at this point is apologize and ask for your forgiveness." It was silent for a moment and I felt as if all eyes were on me so I I decided to speak up and end the silence.
"I forgive you" Saul spoke up. "What?" "yeah I forgive him" "but Jamie he was responsible for our separation. Yeah I get he's my brother and he only tried to look after me but he had no right to influence me into thinking something that was not. He was suppose to assure me that everything was going to be alright and help me clear things up with you. Don't get me wrong, I take my part of the blame for one letting Ricardo get to me and two for not trusting you Jamie, but really?"
"Yes Saul really, I just want to start fresh and I mean shit happens. We can't go back, all I can do right now is forgive and move on and honestly you should too, God does things for a reason and even though that picture made our relationship end, for some reason we are here, in your house, talking like two civilized people. I don't think many ex's would be getting along like the way we are after what happened. Also you have to recognize that you were in the wrong so you can't blame it all on your brother. Blood is thicker than water and it isn't healthy to hold grudges"
He looked like he thought about it. He looked down and spoke "fine. Jamie's right, Ricardo it was wrong of me to just blame you for everything when clearly I had the blame too so I'm sorry" "it's okay brother you don't have to apologize, I'm just glad we're good now but hear me out when I say I'm truly sorry for what happened and I feel super guilty" I spoke up. "We're cool what happened, happened, it's time to leave the past behind, live in the present, and focus on the future"
"Alright well I just wanted to get everything off of my chest. I know it's probably too soon but I hope that down the road you guys can work things out and get back together" I smiled awkwardly and I saw that Saul did too. Ricardo left and it was just me and him again. "Well let's go inside and see if your food is ready" "okay" He extended his hand to help me up from the chair.
Once inside I saw Nicole really enjoying her food. "Hey Nicole you might want to slow down on the food, or you will get an upset stomach" "Jamie have you seen the way I eat, I think honestly my purpose in life is to eat, and this food is bomb" once again she made everyone laugh" "oh okay if you say so"
Chepo brought me my food. "Here you go hermosa" "thank you so much and I guarantee you that this is the last time you have to cook for me" "oh I hope not. I enjoy cooking just as much as I enjoy boxing" I took a bite of the food and it tasted amazing. "Wow this is really delicious" "thank you I try my best"
Nicole sat to the left of me and Saul to my right. Nicole finished her food and was carrying a conversation with Eddy while Saul was eating his own food. He looked at my plate. "That looks good are you enjoying it?" "yes, very much. Want to try some?" "I grabbed some with my fork and fed it too him. I missed his mouth a little and some ended falling onto his lap which caused us both to laugh. "I am so sorry, oh my gosh" I reached for a napkin and ended up spilling my glass of water as well. I covered my mouth from the shock and my cheeks were red from the embarrassment. "Oh. my- I am so sorry, I will clean it up right now"
I got up from the chair immediately but Saul stopped me. "No it's fine baby girl i'll get it. It's okay, don't feel bad, we all make mistakes" Nicole intervened. "No I got it you guys. I already finished my food, let me help. I was still slightly embarrassed but I continued eating. I smiled a bit and laughed and so did he. "are you okay?" "yeah I just can't get over the fact that I dropped food on you and then I knocked over a glass of water in less than a minute"
