After showering and choosing an outfit, I was finishing up my hair and makeup when Nicole texted me saying she was on her way to my apartment. I put some jewelry on and sprayed some perfume. I grabbed my purse, turned off all the lights and was out the door.

"Yeah I wasn't going to come but Nicole insisted that I needed to get out and get my mind off of things and live a little" "well I could take you home if you want? I don't want you to feel obligated to be here, you just opened up to me earlier and I know that was hard for you so I understand if this is the last place you want to be at?"
"That's very kind of you Saul but I think I'm going to stick around, I need to get out of this funk and being alone kinda sucks so right now I'd rather be surrounded by people and drink a bit to mellow out. "uh yeah sure let me help you with those drinks" We had to swarm through a big crowd of people so I held on to his hand so that I wouldn't lose him. His hand in mine felt right, like if my hand was made to be in his. I secretly hope this wouldn't be the last time I held it.
As we got closer Nicole saw me and him coming hand in hand and she made some ooooh-girl-get-some eyes and I just playfully rolled mine. I went up to her and whispered "it's not what you think" she just made an "uhuh sure" face. I sat down and Saul sat next to me.
He leaned into my ear to talk since it was rowdy in the there. Hearing him talk into my ear sent shivers down my spine. "so I'm leaving for Vegas tomorrow, the match is until next Saturday but I have to be there a week early for press conferences and a lot of other things, its going to be a hectic week leading up to the big day I've been waiting for"

The rest of the night was lit. We conversed, danced and drank minimally. then we went our separate ways.
The next morning I woke up and made me some breakfast. After breakfast and taking a shower I went down to the local grocery store to buy some strawberry ice cream. I got back home and put on my cute bear onesie and turned on Netflix.
I didn't want to be alone so I invited Nicole over. She came in a flash. We decided to watch The Heat. While we were watching the movie I decided to text Saul.
Jamie: hey how are you feeling?
Saul: good I didn't drink much so I feel great and you?
Jamie: I feel great as well, I'm actually sitting on the couch watching a movie with Nicole and eating my favorite ice cream 😋
Saul: oh yeah? What movie and what flavor of ice cream?
Jamie: The Heat and Strawberry 🍓
Jamie: anyways I just wanted to wish you a safe flight before you board
Saul: thank you I will, you stay safe for me as well ok?
Jamie: don't worry I will
Saul: ❤️
I smiled when I saw that last message. He made me feel happy and safe. I put my phone away and resumed watching the movie.
