Nicole's POV
The next day after Canelo's birthday celebration I woke up early and ordered me and Victor some room service. I came to Dallas with Victor and was invited to the dinner but I felt that only family should be there so I declined and stayed at the hotel. I was drinking some tea and enjoying the beautiful morning sunrise above Dallas. I took another sip and put my mug down when my phone vibrated, it was a text from Canelo. I scrunched my eyebrows because it was weird for him to text me?
Jamie's POV
Canelo had some business to take care of while I went to pick up Emily from her hotel and take her shopping to work up an appetite. "What do you say, if we split a muffin and get you some juice and I'll get myself a coffee because I'm kind of hungry and I don't know if I can hold it until your dad gets finished with his business?" she just nodded and smiled. "Yeah? Okay it can be our little secret" we laughed. I had actually become really accustomed to her and loved her so much, I loved her like if she was my own.
We went to the cafe inside of Nordstrom and had our pre-breakfast there. After that we looked around and she wanted my advice on how to dress. She was really growing up and I could tell she was slowly transitioning into a sophisticated young girl. It made me kind of sad because she was growing up so fast. I helped pick out some clothes for her that were still for her age but with a bit of an older girl touch. I wanted to preserve her childhood as much as possible and not let her grow up too fast in front of me or anyone else in her family for that matter so I took her to Build-A-Bear Workshop and Claire's. She had a lot of fun and I felt more connected to her.
Canelo texted me saying he was on his way to the restaurant so me and Emily made our way over there.
Canelo's POV
I couldn't wait to get to the restaurant to see my little princess and spend some time with her.
Getting to the restaurant someone took me back to where Emily and Jamie were seated. From a distance I could see how happy they were spending time together. I really liked seeing them bond.
"How are my two favorite girls in the world doing?" My baby came up to hug me. "Buenos Dias papi" "Buenos Dias bebe como estas?" "Bien". I kissed her forehead "que bien". I went up to Jamie and pecked her lips. "How was your time with Emily?"
"It was great we did a little shopping for her, didn't we Emily?" "Yes, it was fun" "wow I want to see what you got princess? Am I going to approve?" She lowered her head into her palm. "Pa really?" "Yes baby I don't want your clothes to be too provocative, no boys are going near my princess" "daddy" "nope, don't "daddy" me you're my baby girl and you are having no boyfriends until you're at least 30!" I said in a playful tone. I could tell Jamie was kind of uncomfortable but at the same time wanted to laugh. She was just sipping on her drink.
"Jamie I'm just messing with her" she just smiled and looked at the both of us.
A little after putting in our order Nicole came in. Jamie looked surprised she came to join us. "Hey Nicole" "Good morning redhead and happy belated birthday!" "Thank you" she motioned for a hug and so we hugged.
Jamie's POV
Nicole came in all happy. Which was considerably weird since it was still pretty early and Nicole loves her sleep but then again she was inside of a restaurant and food is her weakness so putting two and two together made sense.
"Hey Nicki what brings you around here? Not that I don't want you here!" "Oh well Canelo invited me and how could I decline especially when there is food involved lol" "oh Nicole that's true"
Nicole smiled at me and stared at me longer than usual. I smiled back. "What?" "Nothing you're just so beautiful and a ray of sunshine and well that explains a lot." "uh thanks i guess? but Nic don't forget that you are too, actually you're not beautiful you're hot" "are you kidding Jamie you're beyond hot" Canelo intervened. "You got that right Nicole" he said while taking a sip of his coffee.
