When we landed at the airport in Guadalajara. I was amazed. I couldn't believe how beautiful the city was.
Canelo got us a driver and we were ok our way to his house. "so we're staying at my house for the remainder of the trip. We can just settle in and then we can go visit my family" "sounds like a plan"
We pulled up to a beautiful white mansion-like house. "We have arrived" I got out of the car. "Wow your house is amazingly gorgeous. Do you live here by yourself?"
"You could say that I guess? My entourage is honestly with me 24/7. But my daughter Emily has her own room and stays with me when I'm on long breaks or holidays" "oh okay I see" "let me show you to your guest room"
He unlocked the front door to reveal a beautiful interior. Either he had an eye for interior decorating or his interior designer was. We went up a flight of stairs and my room was down the hall to the right next to his and his daughters. "Here's your room, let me get you some fresh blankets and towels"
"Thank you" "no problem, make yourself at home. I'll let you know when we head out"
After he left I decided to call Nicole and see how she was doing with her sister. Our call didn't last long because she was out and about and not at home. I took a shower and got ready.

We arrived at a small rustic house. "Why don't your parents live in your house?" "I ask myself that, I offered them to live in mine or even buy their own but they refuse. They said they wanted to keep this house because of its memories. Even though we came from nothing. They've never been one to like fancy things. I think this is their way of staying humble and true to their roots"
I gave him an understanding look. His family must have seen the SUV through the window because they started coming outside.
The first Saul greeted was a little girl which I'm was his daughter. It was such a beautiful sight seeing the joy of him seeing his daughter. They hugged for what seemed like an eternity.
A women came up to me. "You must be Jamie" "Yes ma'am I am and you are...?" "I'm Ana Maria, Saul's mother" "oh my gosh your the Mrs. Alvarez, it's so nice to meet you, how are you?" She smiled. "Im good now especially that my son is here to visit and please call me Ana Maria. I'm glad I finally met you. Saul talks about you all the time when we talk on the phone"
I looked ahead to see what Saul was doing and he clearly heard me and his mom's conversation because his head was down turning beet red. "Really now?" I said with a smirk. "Yes he talks about how sweet and caring and humble you are. He says he's never met someone like you"
"Aww that's really sweet" Ana Maria took me around and introduced me to the rest of the family and they were all the nicest people I've met. The last person I needed to greet was Emily. I went up to her and bent down "hi gorgeous I'm Jamie and you must be Emily" She stood behind Saul's legs as I tried to greet her. I smiled at her maybe she would come around later.
Ana Maria announced "so who's hungry? I have a big feast waiting for us inside" she gestured for us to come inside. After our meal I helped his mom wash the dishes. She said she didn't need help but I insisted. We took this time to bond and get to know each other.
After saying goodbye to everyone Saul packed a few of Emily's things since she would be staying with us for the time being.
The last few days were adventurous. Emily started talking more to me and I got to visit Saul's gym where he used to train at when he was first starting. I even got the see his parents ice cream parlor. It was a humble experience and memories I wouldn't forget.

We were back in California and I couldn't me more happier. Don't get me wrong I love Mexico from the experience I just had but there was nothing better to be back home.
I went home, dropped my stuff off, took a shower and headed to Nicole's place.
"Jamie you're finally back! I missed you so much honey bun" "Yes I am and I missed you my super sweet sugar plum" we hugged.
"so where's Alessia?" "She went to get some lattes, she should be back any minute" "okay so how was your week" "Super fun me and Alessia did all kind's of fun things and what about you?" "Well.......-"
The next day me, Alessia, and Nicole planned a mini trip to Santa Catalina Island. We booked snorkeling, and parachuting session. After our adrenaline filled day, we decided to slow things down and some food to catch up and then after eating, you guessed it, we did some shopping.
After our fun in Santa Catalina it was time for Alessia to go back home. "Alessia I'm going to miss you, I know we only hung out for like a day but hopefully next time you come we can hang out longer" "of course! Maybe even instead of me coming here you can go to Brazil and visit me, it's truly a beautiful place"
"That sounds amazing" "okay well I have to go Jamie take care, Nicole I'll wait for you outside" "okay I'm coming, Jamie do you want to come with us?" "No, no go ahead and have your sisterly bonding time I have something to do anyways" alright baby girl I'll see you later"
I waited for her to close the door and once she did I ran to my room to start getting ready.
