A couple days have passed and I was currently getting ready for my internship with Michael Kors. It was 7 am and I had to hurry so I wouldn't get super stuck in L.A. traffic. I drove down to the headquarters and parked my vehicle.
Once inside I was greeted by the receptionist. "Hello how can I help you today?" "Hi yes I'm Jamie Blackwell and I'm here for my internship with Mr. Kors" "let's see here...... Ah yes Jamie okay if you take the elevator and go up to the top floor you will find Mr. Kors' office" "thank you so much"
I went into the elevator and clicked the button for the top floor. Once I was up there I passed a couple doors before I saw his office. I knocked waiting for a response. A tall, kind of bald man wearing a black shirt and dark blue jeans appeared at the door.
"Hello you must be Jamie Blackwell I've been expecting you" "yes good morning Mr. Kors it's an honor to meet you" "please come in" I walked into his office and it was beautiful and opulent.
"So Ms. Blackwell im guessing you're here for the internship position correct?" "Yes sir" "well may I ask why an internship and not apply for a job?" "Well I thought that maybe I could see how things work around here first. I don't want to get ahead of myself and not end up liking it which in terms would result in quitting on you"
"Okay I like your thinking Ms. Blackwell. What a selfless person you are, respecting other people's work and time. With that respect and work ethic I see potential in you going places in the fashion industry"
"Thank you, I really don't expect or want things just given to me. I want to feel the satisfaction of working for them. I hope to make it big in the industry one day but for now I have to start somewhere and I thought why not here in this well established company" he smiled. "Let me give you a personal tour of my building and maybe a sneak peek of my fall collection" "sounds good Mr. Kors"
Saul's POV
I was at the gym kicking it with my team. Staying in shape was part of my job. I was currently punching a bag. So Saul how are things with Jamie going?"
"great, we're better than ever. Just today she went in for her first day of her internship. I'm so proud of her" "that's good so what do you plan on doing once her job picks up?" "I mean we're still going to make it work. I love her, she loves me that's all we need right?" "I guess so man"
Why was he asking me this? In a way I wanted to be selfish and didn't want Jamie to get a job. I wanted her to be a housewife but I didn't want to take away something that was important to her.
After an hour session of boxing I went to shower. I decided I wanted to Face Time with Emily. I missed my little princess I needed to see her face and hear her voice. She's the reason why I've gotten to where I am today. If it wasn't for her I don't know where I would be?
Saul: hey princess how've you been?
Emily: Great daddy
Saul: That's good baby so what have you been doing lately?
Emily: Just been swimming in the pool and playing with my friends
Saul: Sounds fun. I miss you
Emily: I miss you too dad, I wish you were here
Saul: I wish you were here with me too princess
Emily: when are you going to come back?
Saul: Soon baby girl
Emily: Okay..... Daddy I made you a card for your birthday I told mommy to send it through the mail
Saul: Really? What did it say sweetheart?
Emily: nope I'm not telling you it's a surprise
Saul: okay baby I'll wait
Emily: hey dad, grandma wants to talk you I'm going to pass her to you okay
Saul: ok baby I'll talk to you later alright?
Emily: ok bye daddy I love you
Saul: I love you too princess. Hey mom
Ana María: Hi mijo cómo estás?
Saul: I'm good mom. I've just been taking it easy spending time with Jamie
Ana María: That's great I haven't seen you this happy with a girl, mi niño is so in love
Saul: It's because she's special mom she is kind, caring and loving
Ana María: Y no se te olvide muy bonita
Saul: she is but I didn't forget, it's just another part of her. Her beauty doesn't need to be categorized in her personality
Ana María: Ya veo mi bebé está bien enamorado
Saul: Mom I'm not a baby
Ana María: Yes you are Saul and you will always be my baby boy since you're the youngest. Well I have to go and cook lunch for the family. I miss you and I love you, cuídate y que dios te bendiga. Say hi to Jamie for me please
Saul: Okay mom I miss you too and I will, say hi to dad for me, bye
I hung up kind of sad. It made me realize how much I missed my family in Mexico. I made a mental note to either visit them or fly them out soon.
Jamie's POV
"Okay so here is my designing room this is where all the magic happens to create my designs that everyone can't get seem to get enough of. I'm not trying to brag but it's the truth and the statistics show it all" I laughed a little. "hey im not one to take your bragging rights away since I know for a fact that everyone these days own some kind of MK item" "See you understand me but anyways let me give you that sneak peek of my fall designs I already sent the prototypes and they will be hitting stores in late August"
He showed me his fall designs and let me just say, they were amazing and no I wasn't just saying that because he was my boss but because I really had a passion for fashion and I knew that, that collection was to be a trending hit.
It was 5 in the afternoon and it was my time to go and I was excited, these heels were killing me. I decided I'd go to Saul's for the afternoon. I unlocked the door to his place and removed my heels immediately. I heard noise in the kitchen so I went straight there.
"Hey beautiful how'd your first day go?" He grabbed me by the waist and kissed me on the lips. "Wow you look so sexy in that blazer and slacks, you should definitely wear them more often"
"It went super well and thank you, just like you look sexy in suit and ties" I kissed him back on the lips. "I'll tell you more about what went down today but first I'm going to shower and change into some comfortable clothes I'll be back"
After showering I went back down stairs to eat. "Smells amazing in here" "thank you I thought id cook you some Mexican food" "sounds delicious" I helped set the table and we were ready to eat.
"So my first day went great he showed me around his building and even gave me a sneak peek of his fall designs" "That's nice so did you like it? Like is this what you wanted?" "Of course, I'm super excited to get more into it later" "I'm proud of you for accomplishing your first step into becoming a successful business woman/model" "Thank you love I really appreciate that. So enough about me, how was your day?"
"I went to the gym and chilled with my team and then I FaceTimed Emily and my mom" "oh cute, how are they?" "They're good my mom said hi" "aww next time tell her I said hi and that I miss her cooking"
"What you don't like mine or something? I mean I am her son after all?" "Baby I do. This is delicious but your moms cooking is unbeatable" "okay you're right" we laughed.
