The sun was starting to set and Ryan and I sat on the beach watching it together.
"Hey Phoenix?" I kept my eyes on the sun set.
"Mmhmm?" He sighed.
"I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner with me tonight?" Inside I was freaking out. Outside, I smiled gently then turned and nodded my head. He fist pumped the air then stood and picked me up, hugging me tightly. I laughed loudly telling him to put me down, but he just kept spinning in circles.
"What's goin on here?" Charles asks, saving my head from explosion. Ryan stops and glares at Charles.
"Oh nothing, just Phoenix and I are going to dinner tonight is all." Charles raised his eyebrows but looked p/oed.
"You are?" Ryan smirked, placing his arm over my shoulder.
"Yup. We are. Problem?" Charles turned sharply on his heel.
"Nope. Have fun Phoenix." He called, storming away.
"Thanks Charles!" Ryan called from next to me. Charles just shot him the bird. I laughed as I watched as Trinity came back to the beach and made a beeline for Nico.
And for some reason, it made me so mad!
I let out a puff of breath as my face turned red with fury.
"I have to go." I growled, walking away.
"Wait! What about our date?" Ryan called from behind me. I turned and gave him a weird look.
"What date? We were just going to dinner Ryan." I rose my eyebrows at him and went to find Dylan.
"Did you have fun today?" Cody asked me, walking into the tv room. I shrugged my shoulders.
"I guess. I haven't really done something like that in a while so yeah I guess I had fun." He smiled and sat next to me on the couch.
"Well good I'm glad. We do that kinda a lot." I smiled and looked at my phone again, checking it for any calls from dad.
"You ok?" He asked me. I locked my phone and set it next to me on the couch.
"Yeah. I was just making sure my dad didn't call." He nodded his head.
"Ok." I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Why didn't you ask about how I was or anything?" He shrugged.
"I knew you didn't want to talk about it so I didn't push the question. And I already know you're not ok so I didn't bother." I nodded.
"Thanks." I got up to find the kitchen to have breakfast.
"Morning." I said as I walked into the kitchen.
"Mmm." Dylan, Chance, Nico and Kayden all mumble in response.
"Basket of roses." I mumble, as I find some cereal. They start chuckling as I pour my bowl and sit to eat.
"Sooo? How was your dinner?" I rolled my eyes and looked up at Nico.
"I didn't go to dinner last night. I came home actually. In your car." Nico cracked a smile.
"Why? Didn't you like Ryan?" I let out a short laugh through my nose.
"Sure but something... came up, I wasn't in the mood for dinner." He nodded his head and tried to hide back his oncoming smile, looking down at his food.
"Oh, ok." I finished my breakfast then went upstairs to get dressed.
I found some tight, dark colored shorts, and a tight tank top that was pink from Hollister. I straightened my wavy hair and did my make up. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs with Tort. I walked into the living room and cuddled up next to Dylan on the couch. When a commercial came on he decided to talk to me.
"So what made you change your mind last night about Ryan?" I sighed.
"He was kinda forward with me and called it a date when it clearly wasn't." Dylan nodded his head like he understood, when I wasn't even telling him everything.
"Gotcha." Then he dropped it. After about an hour of watching tv, Nico came into the room and sat next to us on the couch. He looked at us then scoffed.
"Geez! Save some room to breath!" I rolled my eyes.
"Its called cuddling doofus." He chuckled then took out his phone and answered someone's text.
"Geez." He mumbled throwing his phone across the room. I turned my head and gave him a weird look.
"Something wrong?" He rolled his eyes and lay his head back against the couch.
"Guess who's parents aren't home and wants me to come over to "hang out?"" I rolled my eyes and started to get really annoyed.
"Just tell her no." I said, getting up and walking out of the room to find my room.
"PHOENIX!" Nico yelled my name from somewhere behind me. I rolled my eyes and slammed my door shut, falling onto the bed.
"Phoenix! Open the door!" Nico yelled from the other side of the door.
"No." I mumbled. He sighed as I heard a light knock against the door. His head.
"Please. What's wrong?"
"Nothing Nico! Everything's just peachy! Why don't you just go and have sex with your little girlfriend?" He grumbled.
"She's not my girlfriend." He said lowly. "Now open the damn door. Now."
"It was never locked." I mumbled, trying to hide my smile. I heard a click, then my bed dipped in as he sat on it.
"Stop staring at my butt." I mumbled into Tort. He laughed and lay next to me on the bed.
"I can't help it sorry." I rolled my eyes and turned my head away from him. I felt a tug on my hair as he grabbed it and started to play with it.
"Why do you let her get to you?" He asked. "Why are you so jealous?" I sighed, liking the feeling of him playing with my hair.
"I don't know! She's just so annoying! And she knows she's pretty so she shows off on purpose! It's really annoying! Why am I jealous? I have no clue." He sighed, and moved on the bed, grabbing me around the waist and turning me over to face him.
"You're lying."
"So."
"So why don't you just tell the truth?" I bit my lip.
"Because sometimes the truth isn't the best." I mumbled.
"Go for it." He said, brushing back a piece of my hair behind my ear.
"I have a question." He looked up into my eyes.
"Ok."
"Are you flirting with me or what? Because I'm having trouble seeing past this." He sighed and looked away from my eyes.
"Uhm... I-I don't know... I'm kinda confused my self." I sighed, nodding my head.
"Well you should probably figure that out." I said, getting up and leaving to find Dylan.
As soon as I stepped in the hall I ran into him. "Hey." I said, as I followed him to his room.
"What's up?" He asked as he shut the door behind me and we fell onto his big bed.
"Why are boys so confusing?" He chuckled.
"Nico?" I rolled my head towards him.
"How'd ya know?" He shrugged his shoulders.
"Just a guess. Most of his "girlfriends" come to me when they have trouble with him." I laughed.
"So you're like the relationship guru?" He laughed.
"Yup I guess I am."
"I'm not his girlfriend Dylan." I mumble into Tort.
"Yet."
