Chapter 25

JESSE AT SIDE! HE'S SUPPOSED TO LOOK EXACTLY LIKE AUSTIN! Austin pic Ch. 13



"Where are we going?!" I sang from the back of the car. Jesse was sitting next to me, Aly was driving and Austin had his license taken away so he was in the passenger seat.

"We can't tell you!" They all sang back in unison.

"That was creepy." I mumbled. We had gone back to Jesse and Austin's house to change and Jesse gave me a pair of sweat pants because I was more his size then buff Austin and I found one of my shirts, a tight neon green t shirt from Hollister, from the last time I was at their house. Aly already had clothes here so she changed into those, a pair of black leggings and a purple t shirt and she had sweatshirt. Jesse had put on a matching pair of sweat pants and found a green Hollister shirt and wore it, unintentionally. Austin had on a pair of red sweatpants from Hollister and a white t shirt. As I was walking down the stairs to their house, I stopped to look at a picture on the wall. The picture was of Austin, Jesse, Daisy and me. Daisy and I were on swings and Austin was pushing Daisy and Jesse was pushing me and each of us had humongous smiles on our faces and we were laughing our heads off. I smiled at the picture and realized that I had been crying.

"Lets go." Jesse said from behind me, knowing that comforting me wasn't going to do anything to help me and I knew I couldn't do the same, this was his sister! He was hurting just as much if not more.

I took his awaiting hand and we made our way down to the car.

"Seriously where are we going?" I asked Jesse when I knew the other two weren't going to answer me.

I always thought that Jesse always liked me, but when he got a girlfriend a couple months ago I thought differently. He never let me know if they broke up or not we haven't talked since I left. I always felt that he was mad at me for not picking to stay with them, but I didn't have a choice. Believe me if I did, I would've picked them. I used to like Jesse. For the longest time I did. He looks a little like Austin, but with a cute baby face.

"I cannot tell you." he said with a grin and turned towards me, eyes sparkling. I huffed and crossed my ams across my chest.

"Uhm Jes?" his ears perked up at the nickname I had given him when we were little but I haven't used since then I think.

"Uh yeah?" he asked quietly.

"Whatever happened with you and--"

"With me and who?" he asked, beating around the bush.

"With you and Lila." I watched as pain made its way into his eyes but he quickly shook it away.

"We broke up." I felt my heart break for him.

"Aw Jesse I'm sorry. Would you mind telling me why?"

"She found out something and it didn't quite go well with our relationship so she ended it."

I wonder what she found out?

"What did she find out?" I whispered softly, as Aly and Austin talked in the front seat.

"I-I liked- well like someone and she didn't take well obviously and she broke up with me. Said if I figured out I wanted to be with her then I could go back to her, but I don't want her." for some reason my heart pulled in my chest, as I looked away from him and down at my lap.

He likes someone?

"Who?" I asked softly. So soft I'm sure he didn't hear me.

"I can't tell you, everything will be ruined." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Why would everything be--"

"HERE!" Austin called from the front seat, saving his brothers life. I looked up and tears sprang to my eyes.

We were at mine and my daddy's favorite restaurant.

I jumped out of the car and walked towards the entrance. I didn't bother to look at the cars in the parking lot to see if I knew anyone here, I just walked towards the door. An arm was slung over my shoulder and I found it belonged to Austin.

"Happy?" I nodded.

"extremely." I mumbled.

"Well it might just get better!" I furrowed my eyebrows but didn't question him further. Austin held the door open for everyone before coming in and paying for everyone. We were sat at a five seat table, with me and Jesse on one side, our backs to the food, and Austin and Aly on the other, facing us and a chair at the end of the table, I didn't question it. We were talking a lot and the lady came back for refills and I told her Dr. Pepper so she did as she was asked. I looked up and saw Aly, Austin and Jesse all smiling like the Cheshire Cat.

"Why are you guys acting so weird?" I demanded.

"Here is your drink." a familiar mans voice said, as a green arm was extended towards the table with my Dr. Pepper. I slowly followed up the arm until I finally got to its owner.

And when my eyes landed on him, boy did I go nuts.

I let out a scream that dissipated into cries as I jumped out of my chair and wrapped my legs around him, squeezing his neck tightly with my arms.

"DADDY!" I cried into his neck.
