"Are you sure about this babe?" I nodded, zipping up my second suitcase.
"I have to go help them, they need me." Nico sighed, walking up and taking my hips in his hands.
"I'm sorry I keep asking, I just don't like the idea oh you spending time up there with them." I turned and took a step back.
"Why not?" I asked, crossing my arms across my chest.
"I just don't trust the young one."
"His name is Jesse." I turned around, done with the conversation. I took up everything I needed and walked past Nico, phone and blanket and Tort in hand.
"Babe come on, you know I didn't mean it! I'm just being a boyfriend!" I turned around and faced him.
"And I'm being a best friend." I put my things in Dylan's car and hugged everyone goodbye. Everyone except Nico. Everyone waved goodbye and went inside. I sighed and slide into the passenger seat, the car not moving. I looked up at Dylan with a confused look, who in turn looked at me expectantly.
"Well..? Aren't you going to drive?" I asked, motioning my head towards the road.
"Go. You can't leave yet." I knew what he was saying and tears sprang to my eyes.
I knew he was right. I couldn't leave without saying goodbye to my boyfriend. I couldn't leave us with a fight to come back to. He was only being the protective boyfriend he is, no matter how much it bothers me and how much I hate that he thinks of Jesse or even Austin in that way. I love him and I need to say goodbye or I'm going to resent not doing so and I'm going to end up doing something I'm going to resent back home.
I felt a tear roll down my cheek as I opened the car door and walked towards the house. I opened the front door and got questions from everyone, none of them being Nico.
"I forgot something." I mumbled, absentmindedly. I walked upstairs and stood in front of his door. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
"Go away!" I heard his muffled voice call, sending butterflies through my stomach. Yeah yeah, I just saw him like 5 minutes ago, but come on! He's my boyfriend! I love him.
"I came to say goodbye." I said in a small voice. You know that feeling when it's really quiet and in your head you're just like "cricket cricket." ? Yeah that's what it feels like right now.
The door opened and a shirtless Nico stood in the frame. He looked down at me with a cold, wet stare. He'd been crying.
"I'm sorry," I whispered. "I didn't mean to get upset." his eyes left mine as he shuffled his feet, staring at the floor.
"No I didn't mean to get all defensive, I just love you and don't want anything to happen to us. By you going home, in my head, meant that we were over..." he mumbled. The tears escaped as I jumped into his arms and held him tightly to me. After a couple seconds, I felt his arms wrap around me and pulled me closer to him.
"We're not done. Believe me, if we were done, you'd know. And we're not. I love you! I'm sorry." I felt my shoulder start to get wet as he cried into my shoulder.
"Why are you really going?" he asked softly. I held my breath.
"Sylus, I just don't feel safe knowing that he's here and I feel that he could find out that I live with you guys at any minute and come for me. I love you but I need to get away for a while until this dies down a bit." I said, looking into his eyes.
"Then let me come with you!" he pleaded. I shook my head.
"That would not be good." he gave me a weird look. "3 boys in the same house, who all love the same girl, who happens to be dating one of the boys. Not a good idea." he raised an eyebrow.
