Chapter 30

Having your first kiss is like, being IN the firework show! You're one of the fireworks shooting out of the machine and exploding into air. Amazing. It's like a searing feeling, coursing through your body. Tingles. Butterflies. Love. Want. Happiness. Having your first kiss is like, becoming a new person, you feel different.

Kissing Nico is like that. I feel wanted. His kiss made me feel like he actually cared about me. Like he wanted me to be safe. Like he wanted me to enjoy this moment. This very moment of bliss. The kiss was full of want and happiness, but something else that I couldn't quite detect yet. I pulled away, needing some air, and laid against his chest.

"Wow." he grinned and held me to him. It wasn't an overboard kiss. It was sweet, and gentle. Almost like a peck but just a little more.

"I didn't know a kiss could feel like that." I said, sitting up and touching my lips. He smiled, and watched my expression.

"You're so cute." I blushed and took in his features. His nose was bright red, and he was slightly shaking.

"Are you cold?" I asked softly. He nodded slightly. "Good." I said, smiling. I leaned in and wrapped my blanket covered arms around him and held him to me, keeping him warm.

"GUYS GUYS GUYS!" I yelled, barging into Dylan's room. I turned away quickly. "Ew guys! Make out on your own time!" I yelled, happily.

"We are on our own time!" Rio grumbled, fixing her hair and clothes. She took in my happy appearance and started smiling.

"Oh my goodness! What happened!?" she yelled as I shut the door. "What was the date like?"

I sat on the bed next to them and smiled, remembering the date. "Well he took me to the woods," Rio gave me a weird look. " And there was an opening covered in snow and in the center was a blanket with a picnic and we ate sandwiches and fruit and hot coco. Then we talked and then we..." I paused, remembering, "We kissed." I said softly, with a smile. Rio let a giant smile form on her face as she squealed and Dylan smiled, rolling his eyes and looking away.

"NO! Did you really?!?!" she squealed excitedly. I nodded, blushing. "Was he good?" Rio asked as Dylan threw his hands up.

"Ok! Can we not?! This is my brother!" Rio and I laughed, while Dylan made a disgusted look.

"Yeah, it was perfect." I said, softly. Rio's face lite up.

"Aw! You are so adorable!" Dylan rolled his eyes as I blushed.

"Yeah yeah! So adorable! Now get out and hang out with YOUR boyfriend, we are busy!" I laughed as Rio smacked him, playfully, on the chest. I did decide to leave though, leaving to find Cody.

"Cody?" I asked with a smiles opening his door. He was laying on his bed, watching tv, shirtless. He turned and saw me, smiling.

"Hey Phoenix! Come on in." he said, turning down the volume on the tv.

"Why are you so happy?" he asked, searching my face. "Wait. Did something happen with you and Nico." I smiled and sat on his bed.

"We went on a date and we kissed." he smirked.

"Did you like it?" I nodded.

"It was perfect. My first kiss." he smiled at me.

"Did you decide it or did he move right ahead?"

"We talked about it, and he said he'd give me mine and all I remember was nodding and then it just happened." he smiled and chuckled, pushing me off the bed.

"Get out of here with your lovey doveyness!" he yelled as I left the room and went for the living room, finding Nico and Kayden, Jayden and Emmett. Nico smiled at me as I sat next to him on the two seater couch, Nico's feet propped up on the coffee table.

We were very cautious about what we did around the family, most of them didn't know, that I knew of, so for now, I just laid against the arm rest and wrapped my legs with his.

"Ew what are you guys? Dating?" my heart stopped. Did Jayden know!? I gave Nico and look and he shook his head.

"What? No!" I said quickly.

"You were quick to answer that Phoenix, geez." Kayden reared. Emmett decided to chime in too.

"PHOENIX AND NICO SITTIN IN A TREEEE!! K-I-T-O-Q-R-S!" we all burst out laughing.

"You can't even spell kissing bud." Nico laughed, clapping Emmett on the back.

"How do you spell it then?" he asked, looking up at his brother.

"K-I-S-S-I-N-G." Nico spelled out for his little brother.

"Oh!" Emmett yelled and thought for a minute. "Have you and Phoenix kissed?" my face turned red as I turned away.

"Yes." Nico answered honestly. I knew he would tell his brother the truth. I watched as Jayden and Kayden both turned towards me, open mouthed and wide eyed.

"You have!" the twins yelled. I blushed even harder.

"Yeah...truth or dare? Duh." I felt my body relax tremendously, the boys look like they bought it.

"What's truth or dare?" Emmett asked.

"It's a game." Emmett nodded like he understood.

"Oh. Can we play?" he asked.

"Right now?" Nico asked and Emmett nodded. He shrugged and texted all the boys and in a matter of seconds they were all downstairs. We all sat in a circle on the floor in the tv room, where everything was quiet and alone. Emmett jumped up and down before sitting next to Nico. I was in between Nico and Rio, Dylan was next to Rio.

"I want to go first!" Emmett screeched. All the guys chuckled and Rio and I rolled our eyes.

"Go ahead bud." Nico said, sitting back on his hands, intertwining our pinkies. The corner of my mouth upturned slightly as he looked at me quickly.

"Ok ok ok!" Emmett squealed. "Nico! Truth or Dare?" Nico smirked.

"Truth." Emmett nodded.

"Ok dare." Everyone laughed as Nico threw his free hand up. "I dare you.... to...KISS PHOENIX!" Emmett screamed, excitedly. Nico rolled his eyes as my heart started to beat faster.

"Real original Emmett." Nico mumbled as Emmett smiled proudly to himself, sticking his nose in the air and crossing his arms across his chest.

"Just do it or else." Emmett muttered, evilly. Nico rolled his eyes and released my pinkie and turned to me, a slight smile on his lips but not too much to let everyone see. 

"Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss!" Everyone kept chanting, over and over, while Nico leaned in closer, his hand on my neck. He licked his lips and moaned quietly before placing his lips on mine.

But this kiss was totally different than our first kiss. This kiss was like an 'I am showing off kiss and this kiss is for show.' Our lips moved in sync and fit together perfectly. He smiled against my lips as he felt me pull into him.

What? I'm his girlfriend. I like when he kisses me.

The chanting stopped and I felt everyone staring at us, watching us. Someone cleared there throat, and me and Nico pulled away quickly, whipping our mouths.

"Geez guys! Breath much?" Jayden and Kayden mumbled. I blushed like crazy and tried to hide my obvious red face.

"No one ever put a time limit on the kiss, so we just kept going until someone stopped us." Nico said, sitting back and intertwining our pinkies again. I felt a spark fly through my pinky at the slight touch.

"Sorry next time we will." Chance mumbled, as the guys laughed.
