I am currently 15 weeks, and still getting bigger. (>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>)
I'm not gonna lie, I love my pregnant belly! Its so cute and Nico can't keep his hands off of me!
Today, we're getting ready to go to an appointment to see if our baby is a boy or a girl.
I was busy trying to squeeze into a T-shirt, when my phone rang from my bathroom. My heart, and I, jumped and I ran for it. I glanced at the screen and saw the unknown name and instantly answered the phone.
"Hello?" I asked hopefully.
"Phoenix?" Tears sprang to my eyes as I heard my dads voice.
"Daddy!" I cried, falling to the floor. I haven't heard from him since he left, which was over a month ago.
"Hi baby!" He cried. "What are you doing?" My heart stopped as the door opened, and Nico walked in, sitting behind me and pulling me to his chest.
"Uhm daddy? I need to tell you something . . ." I whispered, shaking. Nico ran his fingers up and down my back.
"What is it?" He asked and I could instantly tell that he was scared and tensing up.
"I'm actually getting ready to go to an appointment with Nico . . ." I whispered. He silent for a while as he took in what I was saying.
"What kind of an appointment? Are you sick? Is he sick?" I bit my lip.
"No he isn't sick . . ." He sighed, thinking he knew what I was talking about.
"Phoenix Marie Mann . . ." He muttered, groaning. I knew he was upset and probably running a hand over his face.
The tears that were at my eyes, fell. "Daddy-"
"Just give me a minute!" He snapped. "Let me have this moment to take in that my daughter is pregnant!" He yells. I flinch at the harshness in his voice. Everything is silent on his end, except for the occasional voices trying to calm my father down.
"When?" He asked threw gritted teeth.
"The night you left." I blushed.
"Perfect Phoenix. Just fucking perfect!" Now I was getting mad.
"Stop yelling at me! I'm staying in school! School is almost over! Nico is staying with me and the whole family is helping, so stop! Be happy! I realize that this is a little early, but just be happy! Ok? That's all I want." I yell back at him. He sighs.
"Give me a couple days and then I'll be happy." He told me quietly.
"Well I hope you'll be happy today, because we're going to see if the baby is a boy or a girl . . ." I tell him.
He sighs. "Can I be on the phone with you when you find out?" He asked as if I would say no.
"I would love for you to be there." I tell him smiling.
"When is your appointment?"
"11:30." I tell him. It was currently 11, and we needed to get going soon.
"Ok. I'll call you at 11:25." He confirmed.
"Ok daddy. I love you." I told him.
"I love you too baby." He hung up and I sat there, curled up in Nico's lap.
"Was he upset?" He asked me.
"He yelled at me." I informed him.
"Well, once he finds out what the baby is, he'll be happy. I just know it." He tells me, placing his chin on my shoulder and rubbing my belly.
"Hello in there! I am your daddy!" Nico rubbed my belly, speaking in a high-pitched voice. I giggled at him and decided that I needed to finish getting ready. I am so nervous, I didn't even sleep last night.
I kissed his lips and stood to brush and pull my hair into a side braid. No one at school has noticed or found out. I wear baggy(ish) clothes. We haven't even told Rio yet. People do say things like, "Wow Phoenix! You're finally gaining weight!" I'm so skinny, that when I gain weight, people take notice, so once I start to hit 17- 18 weeks, its going to get harder to hide my protruding belly.
"Phoenix Mann?" The nurse asked as I stood, pulling out my phone to answer my dad. I currently had Nico, Dylan and Emily with me at the meeting. Dylan is my best friend, so he insisted on coming. I didn't complain.
I put my dad on speaker as the doctor came in and we did the same routine we did last time. Nico sat next to me, clutching my hand and Dylan and Emily sat at the foot of the chair and my phone lay on the chair near my hip.
"Well, this is very odd and awkward." The doctor mumbles. My heart rate picks up, and I start to get very nervous.
"What? What's wrong?" Nico asks, just as scared as I am.
"Nothing is wrong, unless you like the number 2?" The tears came and fell faster than I thought possible.
"Oh my!" I cried. I heard sobs threw the phone.
"Wait, twins?" Dylan confirmed as the doctor nodded. I cried, laughing.
"Well would you like to know what your babies are?" She asked us. I nodded, unable to form a complete sentence without hysterically crying.
Doctor Cameron looked at the screen for a while, running the device over my belly, moving it back and fourth, trying to get the image to look just right.
After a while she pauses the screen and smiles at us, cleaning off my belly and pulling down my shirt.
"Well, you're having a boy and girl!" She cooed as the tears ran down my face. I lay my head back against the pillow and cried. I heard my dad crying, as I opened my eyes and looked at my boyfriend.
He was balling his eyes out, holding his head in his hands and looking down at the floor. I smiled, still crying and sat up, pulling him to me, and holding him in my arms. We cried into each other.
"Are you happy?" I whisper to only him.
"Yes." He cried, his voice cracking. I laughed as I pulled away from him and looked at Dylan who was smiling. I pulled my phone into Nico and I.
"Daddy?" I asked, hearing him crying and congrats going around.
"I'm here. I'm here!" He cried. I laughed, wiping away the tears.
"Are you happy now daddy?" I asked.
"Yes yes!" He yelled. I laughed and let out the breath I didn't know I was holding.
I looked to Nico and smiled.
"We're having twins!" I cried, kissing him.
