"I love you daddy." I mumbled into his shoulder, crying. My daddy has to leave today, along with the other relatives of the cheerleaders and the soccer players. My dad squeezed me tight.

"Baby? I love you so much, but there are a couple things I want to tell you." I nodded, looking up at him, whipping the tears on my cheeks.

"I want you to be careful. I know you love this boy, I just don't want you to get hurt or do something you're going to regret. Do you understand what I really mean?" I nodded. He doesn't want me to have sex and get stuck with a baby if I don't want it.

"And watch out for Miley and Zach, their really going to need a family." I nodded, hugging my dad again.

"I love you daddy, please stay safe for me." He nodded.

"I gotta go now before I never want to leave." I nodded and kissed my daddy's cheek once more, before leatting him go.

I turned and saw everyone watching, I walked back towards my "family" and hugged Nico tightly, crying into his chest. He held me close to him, rubbing a hand up and down my back.

"Lets go inside guys, leave Phoenix be." Emily called, corraling her boys and the Cennello's back in the house, leaving me and Nico outside.

"You ok love?" I nodded.

"Just need time to calm down." I laughed. "I should be used to this by now, right?" I whipped my eyes, chuckled, horsely.

"No. You're never going to get used to it, ever. Its ok to cry and be sad, your dad's in the army, you do whatever you want!" I smiled faintly up at him.

"I don't want to go in the house." I whispered. Nico took my hand and started to walk around the side of the house.

"Then we won't." He told me, wlaking into the backyard, and through the yard until we got to a giant tree house. We climbed up into it and sat in the giant bean bag there, cuddling up next to each other.

"Nico?"

"Yes."

"Why did you want to be my boyfriend?" I asked, softly. "Why do you even love me?" I asked louder. "No one ever loves me." I sighed.

"I love you. So obviously someone loves you. Would you rather me tell you everything I love about you?" I nodded, slowly, unsure of the answer.

"I love you. I love how when you do something you do it whole-heartedly. I love that when you laugh or talk or breath your nostrils flare out, I love your body, I love how you hate it. I love how you snort when you laugh your hardest, which isn't often.---" I stopped him.

"Those are all bad things Nico, I wanted to know good things, I don't get why you would like bad things."

"Because bad things make you you! The good things you may ask? I love when you smile, I love when you're embaressed, you turn red and look away, I love how you care, I love you're hair, I love you. I love how when you kiss me, its not too much, its just perfect. There are honestly so many things that I can't even tell you or else we'll be here for a year." I smiled, cupping his face in my hands, and kissing him. We pulled away and he smiled against my lips.

"See? Perfect." I giggled and laid against his chest, taking in everything.

"Phe? Can I ask the same thing? Why or what you love about me." I thought for a minute before answering.

"I love your soft hair, the way it swoops to one side perfectly. I love your brown eyes, the way they boar into you and can see through you. I love your laugh. I love how you act the same from when we weren't dating to when we are, you didn't change for me. The way you smile my favorite smile because you know it's my favorite. The way you protects me over yourself, and won't let anyone hurt me. The way you tell off your friends because they flirt with me. I love how when you kiss me, its a real kiss. It's a kiss that means something. That you actually care for me." I nodded, "Yeah there is so much more, but that's the basics." I looked up at him and saw him grinning slightly, looking at our intertwined hands. He looked up with his eyes and saw me watching him and smiled.

"That was perfect." He kissed me. "I love you" I smiled against his lips.

"I love you more." He chuckled.

"Impossible." We stayed like this for about an hour, just talking, cuddling and kissing. I'm going to have a lot of trouble when my dad comes back for a long visit, what am I going to do?! I love Nico, I really do. But I also promised Jesse. But what if things get more serious than they are now with Nico? What will I do then? I just hope nothing unexpected pops up....

We went back to the house about two hours after we had gotten there and Emily wanted us to run out to the store, for food and to get our minds off everything. She wanted us to go to a couple. She wanted us to go get food then she wanted us to go clothes shopping for a nice dress to wear to the Soccer Awards, for both me and the twins. I didn't oblige.

We got in the car and drove off to the nearest Supermarket, holding hands the whole way.

"I'll go get the eggs." I told Nico, walking off in that direction with him a couple fridges over, getting milk. I was bent over looking through each carton to find the right eggs when his voice slithered up my spine.

"Why hello there Phoenix." His conniving voice called closely. I didn't even have to turn to know who it was.

Sylus.

I dropped the eggs to the floor and froze. "Phoenix?" Nico called, clearly worried. I turned to go towards Nico, but Sylus pushed himself my way. I couldn't even look up at him, that's how much he disgusted me.

"Sylus. Move." I demanded. His hand gripped my arm tightly.

"Do not tell me what to do Phebug." I shivered at the name.

"I just told you, move." I grinded my teeth. His grip tightened, causing me to flinch.

"SYLUS!" I called louder, startling him. His eyes widened in amusement.

"Oh someone found their voice did they?" I ripped my arm out of his grasp, scratching it against his nails the whole way. I didn't bother to look up at his face, as I tried to make my way to a shocked Nico. Nico saw the look in my eyes and knew he was trouble. He suddenly snapped out of it and came to me, placing his arms gently on my waist, searching my eyes.

"Phoenix! Are you ok baby? Who was that?" He freaked out. I looked up at Nico with tears in my eyes.

"I'm fine babe." I got out in a shakey voice. "That was my ex boyfriend..." I didn't want to finish, I wanted to get as far away from here as possible. "Can we please just hurry up and leave, I don't want to be anywhere near him." Nico nodded and held me close to him as we made our way back to the cart. I glanced up and saw that Sylus hadn't changed at all, just gotten older. He had black hair that swooped across his face, blue/green eyes, and big lips. (>>>>>>)

I gripped Nico's waist tighter as he caught me looking and winked, smirking. It sent horrible tingles up my spine as I stood there in the check-out line. How in the world did he find me? Why is he here? How did he recognize me? All these questions were running through my head as the cashier asked if I was alright?

"You look like you've seen a ghost miss." She joked.

"You have no clue." I mumbled, but loud enough for her to hear and her laughter subsided Immediately. She finished bagging rather quickly and I took off for the door, waiting for Nico to catch up.

"Good bye Phebug!" I heard him call. I ran to the car, not even able to walk anymore. I Jumped into the front seat and hyperventilated. I heard the trunk slam shut and the driver side door opened. Nico saw me hyperventilating, and took my face in his hands.

"Phoenix, Phoenix! Baby listen to me!" My head turned towards him but I couldn't breath. "Phoenix baby calm down." He said slowly, trying to calm me down. "Baby." I tried to breath and failed, finding Nico's knees and hitting them lightly, telling him to help me basically. He searched my eyes frantically and did the only thing he could think of, kiss me. So that's what he did. He kissed me with everything he had, trying to get me to breath again.

I pulled away, collapsing into his lap, catching my breath. He grabbed onto my back and fell against it, breathing heavily. "Please don't ever do that again Phoenix. Don't ever scare me like that again." I nodded my head sporadically.

"I'm sorry baby. I don't mean to, I'm sorry. I cannot help it, sometimes it just happens and I need someone to stop it."

"How do you stop them?" I calmed my breathing.

"Well one way my mom said when I was little was pushing my stomach really hard or my chest. Kissing me, obviously." I said, nodding towards Nico. "Making me drink water sometimes, but I choke on that almost 99% of the time. Or submerge my head into water until I start sputtering or freaking out." Nico nodded, taking in the newfound information.

"Just please, can you explain to me what just went on back there? Because I have no clue and its scaring me to death Phe." The tears hit my eyes instantly.

"Damn it baby! I don't know where he came from or what he's doing here or how he found me. Or how he knows where I am. I swear I lost him, I swore he would have never found me, I don't know how he found me, I don't know why he's here! I thought I lost him, he scares me! Gosh dang it! I wish he were never born, why does he have to be here!" I rambled quickly. Nico placed his hand on my cheek, effectively shutting me up.

"Who baby? Who?"

"Syrus!"

"And who is he to you?" he asked calmly.

"Syrus! My ex boyfriend! The one who raped me!"
