"Uhm....no..?" I said slowly. The teacher came in behind us and yelled.
"SIT! YOU'RE ALL GETTING ASSIGNED SEATS TODAY!" Everyone groaned. "Everyone stand against the wall. Quickly! We have things to do!" Everyone gathered to the wall. She started calling out people's names, as I took notice that Chandler and Nico weren't next to each other and neither were me and Rio. But Rio and Chandler were together. She looked over at me and winked with a smile and I returned the winky smile.
"Nico." The teacher called and Nico sat in the back row. I looked around and saw there was only three of us left. Please don't say my name. Please don't say--
"Phoenix." She said it. I mentally shot Mrs. Peach. I glared at my shoes as I walked to the chair next to Nico.
"Sup babe." I turned my eyes to him, without moving my head.
"I'm sure you had something to do with this?" I snarled. He smirked his signature smirk.
"Of course! I told her you needed to sit next to a friend so you wouldn't be afraid to ask questions so yeah. And plus she thinks I'm gonna tap her one day so she'll do anything I say." He puffed out his muscular chest and folded his arms across it. I rolled my eyes.
"So if you asked her to change my seat she would?"
"Nope."
"What? Why not?"
"Because I'm not going to ask her that's why." I rolled my eyes.
"Douche bag." I mumbled under my breathe, while he chuckled at me.
"You're cute when you're mad." He said, patting my leg three times. I swatted at his hand. "Aw. What's wrong babe?" I rolled my eyes at the cute boy I liked.
"Do not touch me." Suddenly things were moving very fast. I found Nico's hand on my inner thigh, right at the bottom of my shorts.
"Don't touch you?" He whispered lowly. My heart was racing as I stared at his hand. My voice came out very shaky.
"Y-yes." He rose his eyebrows at me.
"You and I both know you don't want that to happen." He said, softly. I took in a very shaky breathe.
"Excuse me?" I jumped and looked up at the teacher. "Please save your fraternizing for after class when you're at home."
"Yes ma'am." Nico said while I gaped at him.
His hand was still on my thigh.
I let out a sigh when he finally took his hand off my shaking leg, only to rip a piece of paper out of his binder and scribble something onto it, and hand it to me. I frowned as I opened the note quietly.
I know you like me, why won't you just admit it? I let out a frustrated sigh and moved the paper away from me.
Why must he do this now? I rolled my eyes and went against my better judgment and took up the note and wrote on it, passing it back to him.
Because I don't know yet... He gave me a confused look and wrote on it.
Don't know about what?
I don't know if my feelings are real yet... I still like someone else and I need to make sure of who I like before I go and date someone. Either way someone's going to get hurt....
Who do you like?
I'm not going to tell you Nico. He sighed.
That would make this sooooooooooooooooooooo much easier! Just take him out. 1 2 3! BAM! Gone. I couldn't help but giggle.
No Nico. You can't take him out sorry. But can I tell you something?
Anything. I smiled. That was a good thing. That meant that I could talk to him about anything.
You're looking to have somewhat of a better chance. He sat up straighter.
Really???? I smiled again.
Yeah. Now pay attention to class.
Yes ma'am. I'm walking you to class though. I rolled my eyes.
Dylan's in my next class. I don't think he's going to like seeing you walk me to class.
I don't care what he thinks. I'm walking you to class. End of discussion. Now pay attention. I rolled my eyes. What a gentleman? I thought to myself. He threw his hand over the back of my chair and propped his chair up on two legs instead of four.
The bell rang shortly after and just as suspected, Nico waited for me to collect my things. I looked up to see Rio and Chandler walking out of the room, talking. I rolled my eyes.
Thanks.
I looked up at Nico, who smiled when he saw I had everything together. "Finally." I rolled my eyes at him and started to walk out of class with my bag on my back, phone in hand.
"Please?" I shook my head.
"You'll know when I've made up my mind." I look around to make sure none of the guys are around. "You do like me though? Cause I don't want to end up picking you if I do then you don't like me. That would be embarrassing." He rolled his eyes and smiled, placing a hand on my cheek very gently.
"I do like you Nix." I bit my lip, he was making this VERY hard.
"Let's hope no one heard you. You don't want to ruin your reputation." I smirked, trying to play off my speeding heart. If hearts could get speeding tickets, mine would be in jail!
He rolled his eyes and grinned at me, stopping in front of my classroom. "I don't care about that. If I get to be with you I have all I need." I blushed and smiled. He was really making this quite hard. I looked behind Nico and saw Dylan turning the corner and coming towards us.
With some bimbo on his arm.
He was smiling and laughing.
He liked her?
My body filled with rage and I watched him. Nico turned to see what I was looking at. Then realization struck him.
"Oh." He said sadly. "You like Dylan." He said it as a statement more then a question. I sighed and looked up into his sad, brown eyes.
"No." I said sternly.
Not anymore.
He can have the bimbo.
"That's Ashley. Dylan's liked her for a while." I furrowed my eyebrows and looked back up at Nico, who was searching my face.
"He said he didn't like her. He called her a nut job and desperate!" He rolled his eyes, leaning against the cool wall.
"That was so you'd feel sorry for him and think he was single." I was angry.
"Well I definitely don't feel sorry." I mumbled through gritted teeth. I watched as she gently placed her hand on his arm, just enough so it would set him off and he'd be distracted by the little touch. It worked.
The bell rang and suddenly I didn't feel like going to class anymore. Or school for that matter. Nico saw the look in my eyes and took my hand and led me down the hall past Dylan and Ashley.
"How did you find this place?" I asked Nico in awe. I looked around, we were in the middle of a forest with a quaint, little lake in the center. It was gorgeous.
"Want to go swimming?"
"I don't have a bathing suit." I said absentmindedly, still taking in my surroundings.
"I do. I was an old hook up's she left it when she stormed out of the room. So I kept it for moments like this." I gave him a skeptical look, and rolled my eyes, defeated.
"Can I see it?" He went to his car and pulled out an adorable bikini with flowers on it. I took it and walked over to the bushes.
"Do not look or I'm leaving." He through his hands up in surrender.
"I won't." He paused, putting his hands down. "Besides, that's for later." He said, winking. I scoffed and went to change. The top fit wonderfully on me but the bottoms were like a thong! I couldn't even imagine who in their right mind would wear these! I peaked my head out of the bushes. (>>>>>>>>>)
"Nico? You would happen to have a different pair of bottoms do you?" He shook his head.
"Why?"
"Let's just say that no one's butt cheeks are going to fit into this anytime soon." He laughed.
"Oh I remember the girl who wore those! ALL she wanted was sex! She wore this and sat on my lap, it only disgusted me." I let out a breath.
"I can't wear these in front of you Nico." I said softly. He rolled his eyes.
"I won't look." He said in a baby voice. "I pwomise." I rolled my eyes.
"Its not the looking thing that really bothers me it's just not appropriate." It wasn't a full on thong but it barely covered. Honestly, I wasn't worried about wearing it at all, I just wanted to see what he'd do.
"Then you make the decision. What do you want me to do?" I grinned.
"Nothing." I stepped out of the pushes and watched his eyes grow large, as he took me in. I walked towards him slowly, trying to decide if I wanted to really get in with him.
Hell ya! My brain screamed at me.
I walked past him, grabbing his hand and dragging him behind me as I made my way towards the water. Before I got in, I bent over and put my hair into a tight ballerina bun, hearing a soft moan, then got into the water.
I found a rock hallway under the water and sat on it as Nico swam over and clung to the edge, looking up at me.
"Please?" I scooted closer to the edge, dangling my feet-knee deep in the water.
"Why? Why Nico? Why do you want me so bad?" He smiled my favorite smile, and took my hands in his.
"Because I want to be the one to hold your hand, kiss your neck, hold you tight. I want to be there when you cry cause you miss your daddy and momma. I want to be the one who gets to cuddle close to you, and the one that I can match with at school just because. I want you to be mine and for me to be yours. I want to be able to call you cute nicknames even though you don't like them. I want to take you on cute cheesy dates then come back home so I can kiss you on the porch then lead you inside cause you live there too. I want you. You keep me on my toes every second of the day. You make me WANT to make a good impression and you make me want to dress nice so you compliment me. I want to be able to tell my friends back off cause your all mine. I want to be your knight in shining armor." I smiled at him. A real smile. With teeth. I only show those when I'm talking to my dad on the phone. I got off the rock into the water and stood in front of him.
"Are you lying?" He shook his head.
"I wouldn't lie to you about something like that." He said softly. I let go of one of his hands and laid against the rock, letting out a frustrated breath.
"What's wrong?" I closed my eyes tight and tried to make sense of this all.
But the thing was I couldn't.
