Harry POV: "Don't let me go. I want you to hold me this way forever" you said, as we slow danced together. I didn't respond, because I knew another lie would only corrupt me further.
Instead, I just continued holding you, as your head lay on my chest.
The song we were dancing, took an eternity to end, and when it finally did, I'm glad you let go of me. "Harry, I have to use the ladies room, wait for me?" You smiled, and I nodded. "Yeah, I will get us some drinks in the meantime" I said, gesturing towards the kitchen where all the drunk teens were. "Okay, I won't be long" you winked and eventually disappeared into the crowd.
I walked over to the kitchen counter, looking over all the options. There were several beer bottles, and other random drinks, but I decided to just pick up a wine cooler, and get you some water. I knew you didn't like to drink, and I respected that.
I had to follow her, I had to make sure she was alright. I completely forgot about anything else, and ran after her.
I followed that sea green dress through the masses of people, up the stairs and into a huge bedroom. Hillary was already out on it's balcony, sniffling. I walked out slowly, hoping I wouldn't embarrass her further. "What are you doing here?" She said, with an attitude I was used to. "I got you a drink..." I said, handing her my wine cooler. She looked at it, and then at me, squinting her eyes with confusion. She cautiously took it into her hands, and quickly took a swig. Tears were still rolling from her beautiful eyes, but I waited until she was ready to talk.
I held the drinks in my hands, and walked over to a random couch in the living room. I hoped you wouldn't take too long, I hated waiting.
Just as my patience vanished completely, I heard two people arguing behind me.
It was Hillary, and that prick Heath.
I hadn't seen her all night, but as I took a good look at her, she looked better than ever. She was wearing my favorite color as well, a sea green dress that fit her perfectly. No one looked as good as she did tonight, and it only made me more pissed at Heath for not treating her right. "I told you I don't like it when you embarrass me in front of my bros!" He screamed, as Hillary became frustrated. "All I wanted was for you to get me a drink! Any other guy would do it! Why can't you?!" She yelled back. "I'm not going to do anything! You want a drink, go and get it!" He argued, and I had pretty much had enough. "Fine, if that's how you want it, it's over!" Hillary said, and I felt my heart beat out of my chest. "Fine, I don't want a slut for a girlfriend anyway" Heath said carelessly, walking away and leaving her there, humiliated. She noticed I was staring, and just groaned as she ran in a different direction.
"You must be laughing right?..." She finally said. "Why would I laugh?" I asked, serious. "Because, I mean look at me, I look pathetic, and here you are, after the countless times I have turned you down, watching me..." She answered, not even looking at me, just at the ocean.
"I'm not laughing. Well I am, just not at you" I admitted, smiling a bit. She turned towards me again, with the same confused expression. "Then who?" She asked. "Heath. He's a butthole. I mean, he totally just blew it for himself, losing the most beautiful girl in a matter of seconds" I answered honestly. I wanted her to feel like I was there for her, I have always been there for her. She wiped her tears and began smiling towards me, like she had never done before. This gave me a warm glow inside, and I smiled back. "You really mean that?" She asked, just because she wanted me to give her more compliments. I grinned, and I continued, "I would never lie to you.... You deserve better than him. You deserve someone who will treat you right, and even be willing to get you a simple drink when you ask..." I said, cheekily. "And who might that someone be?" She said, leaning closer to me. I knew what this meant. I knew that after 6 entire years, this was finally the moment Hillary would want me, just like I have always wanted her. "Well, he's standing a few feet away from you, he has curly hair, and he brought you a strawberry flavored wine cooler..." I said, smirking. She placed the drink down, and started making out with me unexpectedly.
I always knew she was fast, but I didn't think she was this fast. I was used to taking it slow with you, but this new speed was definitely giving me an adrenaline rush. I knew it would.
This kiss was just like I had pictured it, and more. I wrapped my arms around her, bringing her as close to me as possible, savoring her Liquor filled lips. She was so hot, that even her body radiated heat onto me.
Everything that I had ever been through to get here, didn't seem to matter to me, because this feeling I had, made it all worth while.
