"Why didn't you just break up with me? It would have hurt a lot less..." You said, with the most distraught look I had ever seen on anyone's face. You were completely broken, and I couldn't help but feel heartbroken myself. Why had I caused you so much pain? Why had I wasted 6 entire years pretending to love you when I could have given you the world instead? I didn't deserve you, so there was only one thing left to do. "Y/n... I think we should break up" I said, looking directly into your eyes as a tear left your eye, and rolled down your cheek.  You turned from me, crying some more as you ran off.
I gasped, as someone shook me awake. "What?! What happened?!" I said, frightened. "Dude, chill... You were having a nightmare... I thought I would take you out of your misery..." A girl about my age laughed as she sat next to me. I looked out the small window in the plane, and we still hadn't landed. I looked back at the girl, and she was still very much amused by the bewildered look on my face. "Thanks... For waking me, I guess..." I said to her. "No problem... I'm Mary by the way" she smiled. She had a cute smile, and it made me feel better. "I'm Harry..." I replied. "So, what were you dreaming about?" She asked, curiously. "I was dreaming about... Eh, it's actually pretty bad... Don't want to give you a bad first impression" I admitted. "Don't worry, I think watching you sleep already took care of that" she joked. I chuckled, and finally sighed. "I was dreaming about my ex girlfriend. I cheated and broke her heart, and I can't seem to get her heart broken face out of my mind..." I said, sadly. "You're right, I do have a pretty bad first impression of you now..." Mary said as she looked towards me. I nodded understandingly.
"What are you doing on a plane to Denmark?" She asked, after a few seconds. "I'm looking for my ex. I have to tell her that I love her, and that I always have" I said. "Aww, that's actually sort of sweet. I'm sure she will give you points for the effort" she smiled. That gave me some hope, and I felt a load removed from my chest. "Do you think it will be enough then?" I asked, hoping she would give me some womanly advice. "Ehhh, I don't know... Depends on how much you really hurt her. I know from personal experience, that it's really difficult to forgive a cheater. But, it's possible, if you want this as much as I can see that you do" She said, granting me a sweet smile. I smiled back and thanked her. That was just what I wanted to hear, and it made me feel good. Our conversation was interrupted then, by the pilot announcing we were on the verge of landing. We said our goodbyes, and parted ways, and I walked towards luggage pick up.
I caught a cab as soon as I received my luggage, knowing that if I wanted to find you, I would have to look every where. "Would you like to go to a hotel mister?" The driver asked, and I quickly declined "no, I'd just like to drive around, I'm sort of looking for my girlfriend" I answered. I know we were broken up, but that label just made me warm inside. "Oh... Have you called to let her know you've arrived?" He asked. "Ehrmm... No... I'm kinda... Surprising her..." I hesitated. It was a lie, but it was also the truth. You would definitely be surprised.
