Chapter 30

Sun hi

I never really thought that me and Linc would kiss again. It really makes my head hurt. Literally, I don't know why.

Linc calls me just a few hours before the competition starts. He says to meet in his room.

At first I hesitated but I really wanted to talk about.... that little incident.

I knocked twice on his door then dinged on the bell then knocked once again. Hmmm... I wonder why I did that.

L: Sun hi. I... you.. how do you know the... never mind.. ummm.. come in.

He took a seat right to his bed and motioned me to sit beside him.

L: I... I wanna tell you something.

Before he did. I had to butt in and that obviously doesnt go so well. Based on previous arguements we have of course. This was no exception.

S: Linc. About that kiss... I didnt.. that didnt mean anything... right?

He stared at me like I was joking. Like I had offended him someway... Maybe I did because he was instantly yelling, making my ears hurt.

L: No. It meant everything to me. We've had a kiss before and I know we fight a lot and... its... its just too complicated to say why but I love you Sun hi. I really really love you.

I was too stunned to even say anything. He loves me? I... I love him too. This never happened to me before. I hate boys.

S: Linc... I love.... your shoes.

Dang it. Why cant I just say it. He holds my hands.

L: Is that what you really feel?

S: (sighs) okay... No. I really do love you too Linc but I don't know if we would work. I have so much fun fighting with you (giggle)

L: I'm sure we'll still have lots of those when you're my girlfriend.

S: (blushes) girlfriend?

L: Yeah... Sun hi. Will you be my girlfriend?

S: I.... Um...

My mind and heart was already battling inside me. One says no and the other says go... In the end... only one wins

S: Yes... Yes linc. I'd love to be your girlfriend.

I give him my tightest hug, grabbed his shirt and kissed him again. This time things get a lot more heated since were alone in his room. We start to deepen in the kiss then lay down the bed before he falls on top of me.

Abruptly a sharp shooting pain in my head starts going on again. Linc quickly pulls away and helps me up.

L: Sun hi.... are you ok?

S: No! Why would you even... ahhhh.. ask... ahhh. LINC...

L: Do you want to go to the hospital?

S: No... No... its fine.

The pain stops. Just the way it did before. Why does this happen when I'm with Linc?

L: Oh Sun hi (looks at watch) we better go. Its almost time for band blast.

There was an hour left and we still don't have hair and make up. I call Jodi, she answers on the 2nd ring.

S: Jodi! Where are you? It--

I stop. It sounds like she's crying. What happened when I was gone.

S: Are... are you okay?

J: Yeah.. no .. why... why wouldnt I be?? He... he... he..

S: Uh... okaaayy i guess.

J: Lets get ready.

When Sun hi hung up I could finally breathe and let my tears out. How could something that happened months ago come back to haunt me now? Why now? Why him?

Uggghhh. Sometimes I just wanna scream and throw away all of my things. I'm so stupid. I wish I told him before.

A: Um.. Jodi?

Corki and Alex step in our hotel room hand in hand. What is going on?

J: Uh?

I stare at their hands which quickly pulled away after.

Co: Um... We need to talk to you.

A: Jodes.... (sits down on the bed) I know...

J: Know??? What do you know?

S: Oh great. You're all here.

Sun hi says as she opens the door and sees me and Corki.

S: Alex. You need to go. Sorry. We have a show to prepare for.. I'm guessing you do too.

A: Okay. I'll see you later Jodes. Corki... (smiles) Sun hi.

He leaves. What does he know?

Co: We'll talk later.

She says in her stern mean voice. What's wrong with her?

S: Um... Okay. Lets get changed.

After we change and do each other's hair and make up. We huddle. Sun hi gives us her own way of a pep talk, more likely talking about herself but I know she cares about this band too.

C: Alright girls. It's time for L3 lets go watch on the screen.

Caleb pulls me beside him and Corki stays behind me. They were performing I promise you that which Sun hi sings along to.

The camera zooms at Darmala on the drums and suddenly my heart skips a beat. What is wrong with me?

S: Uh. I dont feel so good. My head is starting to hurt again.

Why is Sun hi always having those headaches?
