Chapter 24

Caleb

I was waiting for her answer. So was everyone else and it was taking her forever to speak.

Suddenly her face fell and I started to worry. "Okay... So No heather then but what about that girl on the phone... J-Jeanette?"

Jeanette speaks up from the crowd "Oh my gawd! Say yes! I'll explain everything later" she said excitedly. Wow for a girl who got trampled upon she was pretty head strong.

Jodi's face lit up and finally said yes. The crowd roared and cheered for us. I gave her a hug and was about to kiss her until Corki, Sun hi and Jared came running towards us.

S: Congrats guys! Now there will be Jaleb babies, right???

Both of us were blushing feverishly. I don't think we even thought about that just yet.

J: (laughs) Not now Sun hi.

I looked at the crowd and seeing their hype I can't let that die down. So I put on the beats and call in the party.

All of us went backstage. Jeanette followed us and went to hug Jodi and the girls. "Yaaay! Jaleb are finally a thing. I'm gonna tweet your picture. Look" She showed us the picture of us hugging on stage

After they both pulled away Jeanette shook each of their hands and took a selfie with them. I explained how she was just helping me with the surprise after I convinced her to get rid of the band that was about to go on today.

"I love you guys and Jaleb I wouldn't do anything to separate you two" she explains.

J: Thanks jeanette. Hey. Since you are probably out of a job why dont you help out with our band. We could use a manager.

???: No jeanette! Wait!

It was one of the band members. Uh oh. We're probably in trouble now.

F: Hey I'm frank.

This guy's name was frank?? Frank sounds like my 60 year old grumpy neighbor.

I didn't realize I said that out loud until everyone was holding their laugh except for jeanette who probably waited to laugh at his name for a while. Frank glared at me.

C: Uh. Sorry Sir. I mean... uhm you look like a punk rock man so uh frank doesnt suit you.

F: Thank you for the information.

Well... I deserved sarcasm for that. I guess.

F: Anyway jeanette. We want you to come back.... as our new manager!

Je: What?!

F: Yeah. Bob and I.

C: Bob?

It was the other guy who looked like a goth beside him. Okay. I need to be quiet. But really? Bob?

F: Yes. Bob and I saw how you organized all this and when you were are assistant every show was a success. Eve said it was because you helped with everything. We fired Nina just a while. She didnt really like the job.... So will you take it?

Je: Oh my gosh! I'd love to!

We were all happy for her. The girls hugged her and then she waved us goodbye as their band went to their next tour stop in Minnisota.

J: Well. This was a great day.

C: What made it so great huh?

J: Well.... Maybe because someone asked me to be his girlfriend?

I smiled at her and she blushed.

C: Lucky guy.

S: (clears throat) Um... Were still here.

L: Uhhh. Spoiler much? You just ruined their moment.

S: What's wrong with you???

L: You. Obviously!

S: I.... Ughhh!!! Can we just go??? I'm tired.

C: Uh sure.

There was no point in arguing with Sun hi. There was only one person who would win. It was always her.

J: Lets go Sun hi.

Co: I can ask Logan to drive us. He's just around the block.

J & S: Yes please!

C: Who is this logan person?

J: From big time rush. No need to be jealous Caleb. I love you not him

C: Thats good to hear (smile)

I was happy today. Finally me and Caleb were together and the spirit squad finally got what they deserved after that little revelation Caleb and  Jared pulled.

But somehow there was something bothering Sun hi. I'd hate to sound selfish but I thought she'd be happy for us. "Sun hi?"

She didnt respond which was weird for all of us. Corki, Caleb and I shared glances at each other while Linc barely looked, Jared on the other hand also seemed distracted.

J: Uh Jared?

C: (whispers: I don't know whats happening here)

Co: Um babe?

Corki reached out and grabbed his hand. He looked startled but still weird.

Co: Are you alright?

Ja: Yeah... Uh... Um... You know ny head...  it just hurts. Can I just go while you can walk with the girls and Caleb?

Co: Okay sure.

She gave him a quick peck on the lips but he only smiled weakly before he left.

L: Wait up!.... Uh.. thanks for the ride but none of us are friends so... I gotta go.

He left with Jared.

Co: What the flute is going on?

C: Only corki can say flute as if its a curse word (smirks)

Co: (shakes her head amusingly) Shut up Caleb.

J: Sun hi! Youre phone battery died!

S: Hmm. I'll uh.. charge it later I guess.
Okay not even a pout. "This must be serious. She's acting strange" I whisper to Caleb and Corki.

We arrive at our door, Sun hi went in without saying goodbye to Caleb while Corki went in after her.

J: Sorry it had to turn out like this.

C: Its okay. (Smiles) You girls fix whtever this is. I'm not good at that. (Kisses her cheeks) Goodnight love.

J: (smiles widely) Love?

Caleb nods

J: I love it.

I give him one last hug before I get in the room to see a sight not rare. "Here I go again"
