Chapter 36

Sun hi

My eyes squinted at the sight of light, I was forced to open them.

All I could see was a hospital bed with all of my friends and my sister gathering around someone.

"Hey guys!" I called but no one answered. Can they not hear me? Or see my pink hair?

My legs didn't wait for them to respond, they dragged me towards them.

Only to be met with horror--it was me.  I was the patient. Was I dead?

"This is all your fault Lincoln!" Sun mi's voice boomed in my ears.

"My fault?! If you didnt show up. Maybe she would even be alive! I had a plan. You ruined it!"

"A plan? Your plans never worked Lincoln! You planned on being with me and ended up with Sun hi. How did that plan work out for you? Huh?"

"Stop being so bitter about that. I asked you several times to be my girlfriend--" everyone gasped at the revelation "--you turned me down! Sun hi was there for me until I started falling for her. It was the best thing that happened to me and I don't regret that!"

My heart warmed at his words but at the same time they pricked for Sun mi's tears. I remember everything now. Well, now that I'm half dead.

"Ughhh! Could you just get out?!" She pointed to all of them. "All of you out!"  I have never seen her this angry before.

Everyone fled out except for Linc. He was there, he held on to her. "Sun mi. I'm sorry but I can't leave her."

"Please go. I want to talk to her alone."

He gave a sigh then left.

"Sun hi... I have somethinh to tell you" she said when she was sure they all left.

"Please don't hate me" She pleaded.

"I can never hate you." Even though she can't hear me, I know she knows this.

"I...I'm the one that caused the accident. I was the other car that crashed--" her tear started flowing more heavily "--my head wasn't right then. All I thought about was Linc. I'm sorry. I let him get to us" She was on the floor now, bawling her eyes out.

"You deserve him. I didn't. And he deserves you. I'm sorry"

Suddenly my cheeks started to get wet. I was crying? Who knew half dead people could cry.

My arms were instantly wrapped against her warm body. I needed to come back.

Linc

My ears were pressed on the door--eavesdropping as if it was normal to me.

"Linc!" Jodi interrupted "Stop it! Give them some privacy"

But I didn't listen to her and it was a good thing because now I know the truth. It wasn't my fault but somehow all the anger that should have been there is gone. I felt bad for Sun mi having to go through this for a year.

They must have noticed my face because they were asking what I heard--I said nothing.

"Linc! Linc!" Sun mi screamed, opening the door that I had eventually fell on.

"Get help! Sun hi!! Hurry!"

The doctors rushed in when we called, no hesitation to check on Sun hi and check her vitals.

All of us waited outside for the doctors to finish.

"Hey Linc." Sun mi tapped my shoulder. "I know you heard eveything"

I nodded.

"So... You're not angry?"

I shook my head and hugged her. "I know it must have been hard for you to go through that for a year. I know that you blame yourself for this... but its okay. I forgive"

Her tears stained my shirt but for now I didn't mind.

"Thank you" she said in a muffled tone.

"Ms. Song?"

"Yes?" We both looked up and let go of each other.

Instead of talking the doctor just gestured his hand inside the room. We went inside and saw that Sun hi was already awake.

"Sun hi!" Sun mi screamed and ran to her sister. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I am and... I kinda heard everything and remember too. But I forgive you"

The sisters hugged it out and after a while we were ready to go home.

Corki

When I saw my friend wake up I was happy. Everything was finally falling into place.

Well everything except for me of course. My studies are hanging because of our weekend gigs and band blast plus to top it all off, Jared was still trying to get me back while Alex is constantly saying the right words.

"Hey Corki" Sun hi had distracted me from my train of thought, thankfully.

"Yeah?"

"Are you okay?" Concern was written all over her face but right now... I had no answer to that question.

Yay! Sun hi woke up but now Corki is having trouble. Uh oh. What could happen to her?
