When the nurse told me to come in, I knew this had to be it. This was the reason why Jodi fainted... but I'm getting ahead of myself... I shouldn't think so negatively.
"Hey..." Jodi says weakly.
"Hey" I smile at her, glad that she's awake. "How are you?"
"I'll.. uh. give you time to talk. I'll be in the other room" the nurse was nice enough to value privacy.
"Caleb... you love me right?" I immediately run to her side, stricken by her choice of words.
"Of course I do. Even if we're still young. I love you. You're the one." Right? I mean. Right... I do love her but I'm not sure... I mean... we could drift apart in college. Stop it! Stop thinking that Caleb. Jodi's the one.
"Um... Caleb?" I was obviously missing something when I came back to my train of thoughts because she was snapping her arms in front of my face.
"Oh sorry. What is it?"
"Remember last week... when... we had a date... when we went to see your parents over the weekend?"
We both smiled at each other, that day was so special to me.
===== Flashback
Jodi was frantically scouting her suitcase for the perfect outfit to wear, even though she already looks amazing just wearing a white shirt and shorts.
"Jodi. You're already beautiful." I kissed her lips and she blushed before she pulled me away lightly.
"Caleb. Not here... your parents"
"They're not here Jodi..." I pulled her in and kissed her more, she kissed back, she nods at me, without a word I knew what that meant and that's when things started to get heated.
We started to slow kisses until it wasn't enough, I pinned her to the door, closing it in the process. My lips traveled to her neck and I started reaching for her shirt once she moaned.
"Caleb..." She had a second of hesitation as I continued "I'm scared..."
"I'm so sorry Jodi... We can stop now if you want me too" My arms were still around her and I was still looking at her gorgeous upper body, she was beautiful inside and out but I respect her. If she decides not to go ahead then I'll stop.
"We... I don't know... I mean Corki... she and Jared but he was in college and Sun hi and Linc... in the roof... And I...."
I understood why she wants to do this now... It's not because of me... "Jodes. I know you're pressured. But I can wait... and just so you know... TMI on the Corki side of things. I don't wanna know or even imagine my little sister with that dunderhead you call Jared" The bitterness was clear in my voice but it was just my brotherly instincts.
"Jodes..." I start again "...Please. if you want to do this, do it when you're ready" I walk away from her, pulling something out of her suitcase.
"Close your eyes" She obeyed and I walk back towards her. Her shirt was still on the floor and I decided to pick it up and throw it in the basket and then I raised her arms and slipped on a dress for her.
