He looked me dead in the eyes, "Alex, remember when your father worked in the air force?"

"How do you do know that?" I asked completely shocked that he would know something like that,

"Because I admit, before I was injected, before the serum was even created, I worked for Craig. He had files on every government official and anyone that worked for them. I overheard them talking one day in his office. They were talking about my father and another man. They said that they had found spies working for the secret agency in Boston, that they were undercover. They were assassinated. That's when they saw me. They took me to the lab and tricked me into letting them inject me. For almost two months, I was completely channeled to their commands. I stalked you for two months. And then it started to fade away, not completely, but enough, because their first prototype was faulty. But I still helped them, thinking that they can help me to the safe house.

Alex, they sent me out to get you, to bring you back to the base then they can squeeze whatever information they can get from you. I didn't escape like I told you. I didn't jump out the back of the truck. I just didn't want you to  That day at the place I was staying at, when I found you shot, I was going to poison you. But I had orders to bring you back alive. They told me I had to build trust, get whatever voluntary information I could get beforehand. I was going to kill you when you were sleeping. Then I saw your dream, and I started to doubt everything that they told me. When we went back to your place, I couldn't keep it from you. I had developed feelings for you that were taught to be forbidden. My eyes stayed the same, but I could control myself, and I knew that I could protect you"

"I don't need you to protect me. Stop treating me like i'm five. You worked for Craig and the fact that you believed them and wanted to kill me, well, the trust? There is none. Just because i'm not fighting you, doesn't mean I like you company, heck, I freaking hate you!  I just want to get this over with. Why don't I just hand myself in, tell them I don't know anything, and they'll let me go-"

"You think they'll let you go? They'll kill you! Now that they know they're system is perfected they'll either turn you into one of them or murder you,"

"What do we do?"

"What happened to 'I hate you'"

"I still do, even more since you told me your retarded plea for forgiveness and understanding. But I want to kill Craig first, and you're going to help me get to Washington. I'll deal with you afterwards"
