Finally reaching the brother's den, I stopped and took a moment to breath. I had to get my shit together. No more worrying about Will or Max, no more fighting with Demi, no more...Dylan. I couldn't, that's one thing I couldn't stop thinking about. Where was he?

We walked down the steps, the sounds of our feet touching the cold concrete, echoed in the infinite darkness. By now, we didn't need a flashlight, our eyes had adjusted and we knew where we were going. Just then, I heard a voice right behind me, "Alex?"

I turned around with a start and saw the bright eyes stare at me through the darkness,

"Dylan?!" I said, fumbling uselessly for the torch that hung on my belt. Finally managing to flip it on, I pointed it directly onto the face of my green-eyed brother,

"What the hell, Dylan! I thought..."

"Alex, I'm okay, they found me and they've updated me on everything"

What?

I grabbed him by the wrist and charged into the control room where the surprised eyes of the others looked at me.

The Touthe brothers seemed calm, whilst Will and Max just stared at Me, then Dylan. Meanwhile, Demi pushed through us and sat on a dusty sofa in the corner of the tiny room

"We have to stop wasting time, we need to head out," I say, ignoring the fact that I just flew in angrily with Dylan, as I completely ignored his presence,

"Yeah, we-" Dylan started before I cut him off,

"'We'? There's no 'we' you're not coming, you're still one of them and you're going to get us all killed! Connor, Simon, how could you share this with this...this...terrorist"

"Wow, my own sister"

Dylan walked over to the other end of the room and sat next to Logan and Cal,

"Okay, as much as this family drama interest me, Alex is right, I think we need to go, soon," Simon says, taking a breath of his cigarette,

"How soon?" Max asks, ignoring the fact that Dylan was standing right there, in between the brothers. He had known about him, and he didn't tell me, and now he's acting like he was here the whole time?

"It all depends on Bek"

"What does he have to do with this?"

"We need to leave a day before he does"

I cut in, "Where are the 'hostages'?"

"Alex, don't refer them to hostages, call them... part of the team"

"How do you know if they'll cooperate?"

"Well... you won't like it"

"NO! ARE YOU FREAKIN' MENTAL?!"

"Alex, this is the only way"

"You want to control them with the system we're trying to defeat?!"

"Exactly," Connor says calmly,

"I would rather go with Bek's plan"

Max stepped next to me, "Is there any other way?"

"We could try and talk them into it, but chances are, they won't cooperate"

"Well, we should try instead of injecting them," I say,

"Fine," Simon gives in,

"But Alex has to do it"

We moved into the small room on the other end of the subway.

 I can do this.

I unlocked the dented, metal door. Looks like they tried to escape. I cautiously turned the handle and it swung open. The fatigued faces looked at me with a start, Max, right behind me, in case one of them try to kill me, which was completely possible.

"Alex? Max?" Rodriguez says standing up,

I step in and Simon shuts the door, trapping Max and I in with the infuriated captives,

"They caught you too?"

I took a deep breath, "No, not exactly"

Everyone looked at my confusedly. One of them looked at my eyes, expecting to find green,

"Rodriguez, we want you to join the resistance?"

"The...Resistance...? Alex, we are already part of the resistance"

"No, we're covers for Bek's revenge plan, it's a suicide mission"

"Alex, how do you know you can trust them"

"They knew my father"

"And?"

"And, our fathers' were part of Secret Intelligence, they were on the verge of exposing Craig, before they died, meaning they were against him"

"Alex, no, we're not going to just change the plan"

"You don't get it, they're going to inject you, if you don't"

"And yet you choose to trust them?"

"But what choice do we have this plan will actually work, with your help"

"She's right, if you want to defeat Craig and live to tell the tale, you'll have to help us," Max puts in,

Rodriguez looked at the unsure group behind him, as they quietly whispered among each other, shooting sneaky glances at Max and I.

Dear god I hope this works.
