I slowly made my way back to Matt who already cleaned up the table and was sitting on my couch.

"hey." I softly said. "sorry about that, it was my mom. You gotta answer when they call or they go crazy. " I grinned and wrapped my arms around myself.

"no worries. how is your mom?"

"she's fine...they're all good.." I mumbled and swallowed as I slowly sat down on the couch next to him.

Matt slid closer to me on the couch. I stiffened at his nearness.

He ran his fingers along the length of my arm, shooting electricity throughout my body. "Do you have plans this saturday? I'd really like to take you out again." he whispered.

"uhm, actually, I'm going home..town fair...barbecue..dance..fireworks.."I rattled on, waving my hands around, his caresses where short circuiting my brain.

"okay, what time should I pick you up then?"

I whipped my head to face him. "huh?". I looked at him quizzically.

"I'm coming with you, babe." he said.

"uhm, no you're not." I countered. "you're not invited." I was in awe of his ego.

"I'm inviting myself." he said with confidence. "besides, if you don't take me..I have other ways to get to you.." he smirked.

He can such a cocky bastard when he wants to.

"well, my whole family will be there...so if you like torturing yourself, be my guest." I smirked back at him, crossing my arms in front of me.

"It would be my utmost pleasure, my lady" he stood up and made a flourishing bow.

i groaned.

" okay, pick me up at 7. It's a 2 hour drive..I promised my mom i'd be there early to help her prepare." I conceded. My mom was getting what she wanted after all.

"I'll see you tomorrow then babe." he slowly leaned down and kissed me on the forehead. It wasn't a quick kiss, his soft lips lingered and caressed my burning skin. "goodnight." he murmured. "I hope you're no longer confused about...us"

He straightened himself up and smiled at me. He raised a finger and caressed my cheek. I closed my eyes and leaned into his touch. "goodnight." I murmured back.

He turned around and slowly sauntered off to my door, I watched him leave, too weak from his touch to even get up.

Matt arrived early, but i was already ready to go. I didn't get too much sleep lastnight. The thought of spending time with him made me giddy, but knowing my entire family would be there was scaring the shit out of me. Not to mention i kept thinking about that kiss. that kiss left me wanting to kiss him on the lips even more.

"morning, babe!" matt greeted me when I opened my door, he was holding a brown paper bag in one hand and a cup in the other. "I've got turnovers and coffee." he proudly lifted them up.

"i'd take this" I said, while grabbing the paper bag. "and you can keep that" pointing to the cup.

"Who doesn't like coffee?!" he said incredulously, his eyes growing big as saucers.
