I texted Jesse about Leah. He said he was coming over, I knew we wouldn't last for two days. He knocked on the door and I let him in.
I motioned him to the couch, he sat down and I gave him a cup of tea.
"Thanks!" He took the mug.
"You're welcome." I sat next to him. "So about your friend."
He sucked his teeth. "That ain't my friend. Bitch crazy, all my hoes sane."
I laughed. "Mhm. So, she sat down at my table and was acting like shit was cool until I said something and she turned into a bitch. She threatened to ruin my career before it even started."
"Shit...this bull again." He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"What? You good." I put my hand on his back.
"I'm good! You just need to stay away from her."
I made a stank face. "Fuck? I don't even talk to her or want to. She came to me! If anything, I don't want anything to do with her sketchy ass!"
"I understand that but you have a sharp tongue and say whatever pops up in your head, watch what you say around her. She'll use that to get you in trouble. If she has enough evidence she'll end your career."
"Wow, so she's basically a computer. Stores everything and then throws it all in your face? Petty." I rolled my eyes.
"I've seen it so many times. I won't lie, she's smart but you need to watch out." He took a sip of his tea. "Ok?"
"Ok. What about Jacques?"
"Don't say anything to him. It'll make it worse for you."
"Be selfish?"
"Oh my god." He sighed. "No! Sometimes you need to think about yourself, alright?"
"Ok! Damn!" I shouted. "Gosh..."
He busted out laughing. "Gosh."
"Whatever. I'm bored!" I stretched and yawned.
"Take a nap." He said.
"No."
"Whatchu mean no?"
"Exactly what I said." I sassed.
"Ooo, you and yo attitude!" He wrinkled his face.
"I ain't got no attitude."
"I ain't got no you mean you don't have?"
"Whateverrrr! God!" I took his glasses and wore them.
He grinned. "You look good with them."
"Yeah?" I took them off and blinked a couple of times trying to regain my vision.
"Yup, fucked up your sight didn't it?"
I rubbed my eyes. "Mhm." He took his glasses back.
"You seem tired." He cleaned his glasses and put them back on.
"Yeah, not gonna lie." I played with the strings on his hoodie.
"You want my hoodie?" He was about to take it off until I stopped him.
"No, no, no. It's chilly outside. I don't want you to get sick."
He shrugged and put it back on. "Oh! I bought something for you!"
"You did?"
"Mhm!" He dug into his pocket and pulled out a black box. "I've been saving this for someone I connect with. My mom gave it too me and said, when you find the girl you identify with, give this to her. So I'm giving it to you."
