Miyah got her passport and we were on our way to the airport. Jesse kept texting me but I'm not going to risk texting him back while speeding down a highway. Once we got to the airport it started drizzling.
"I hope the rain doesn't get heavy. They'll cancel our flight." She said as she helped me take my bags out of my trunk.
"Yeah." I closed my trunk and we rushed into the airport.
Jesse: We're going through TSA! Where the fuck are you guys!? 😡
Me: We're in. Don't fucking swear at me!
We met up with the group and Jesse looked pissed. I showed my ID and boarding pass, removed liquid items and all that jazz.
Half the group sat upfront and the rest of us was in the back of the premium economy class in the plane. I sat with Jesse and Jacqueline. Jacqueline kept to herself and listened to music in her earbuds. I was in the middle, Jesse was on my left and Jacqueline was on my right.
"I'm very upset with you and Ja'Miyah." Jesse said.
"Why? Ain't no body stressing but you." You trippin'." I rolled my eyes.
"You guys almost missed the flight! It took you guys more than twenty minutes!"
"Jesse, the fuck was she gonna go if she didn't have her passport!?" I lowered my voice. "You're the one that made me go with her!"
"Whatever Sky. You're here now." He grumbled.
"Exactly, so stop whining about it." I rolled my eyes and put my earbuds in. The flight should be about three hours and thirty minutes.
Jesse was on his laptop making folders for our music I'm guessing. He tapped my shoulder.
"What?" I took an earbud out.
"I'm sorry for spazzing out on you. That wasn't cool."
"It's ok." I put my earbud back in and played a couple of games on the seat back screen.
He smiled and went back to his laptop. I took out my notebook and started writing songs. Jesse nodded his head.
"Smart idea." I heard him say through my music.
It's not easy writing music at all, especially if you're trying to get at one thing. I was inspired by the clouds and just the thought of New York.
I done been there, done that
Happiness doesn't sell
And that's a fact.
Nope. Cheesy.
"I actually like that." Jesse said.
I paused my music and took my earbuds out. "What?"
"I like what you wrote. I couldn't help but look at your work, Ms. Franson."
I made a stank face and went back to what I was writing. He shrugged and minded his own.
Boy if you don't get away...! 😒😤
I thought.
I kept writing. Jacqueline was on her phone typing her songs. I didn't notice till she told me. After I was done writing I got tired and decided to take a nap.
"You going to sleep?" Jesse asked.
I opened my eyes. "Yes I am. Do you have a problem with that Mr. Iris!?"
He smiled sweetly. "Nope." He handed me some covers and a neck pillow.
"Thank you." I rolled my eyes.
"No problem!" He chirped. "Sleep tight, sweetie."
I rolled my eyes once again.
Jacqueline laughed. "You good?"
"Mhm." I scooted away from Jesse.
