Luffy X Reader Just A Nakama?

Chapter 22. Ship Watch

(Y/n) POV

"(Y/n)! Wake uuuuuppp!"

I groaned as Luffy continued to shake me around. "Luffy! No!! I don't wanna get up."

"But (y/n)! I wanna play with you!" He whined.

I hugged my pillow to help block his voice out. "No. I'm to lazy."

"Fine then." I felt the bed move and heard his foot steps going towards the door. I let go of the pillow thinking he was gone.

"GET UP!" Luffy jumped on top of me and began tickling me.

"AH! LUFFY S-ST-HAHAHAHHA- STOP IT! HAHAHA!"I tried to push him off but he was much stronger. "I'LL GET UP! HAHAHA! J-JUST STOP HAHAH TICKLING ME! HAHAHA!" I couldn't hold my laughter in.

"Shishishi! I like tickling you!" He said and finally stopped tickling me.

I took deep breaths trying to catch my breath. "Are you happy now? I'm up."

He smiled and hugged me. "Yes! Now I can spend time with you!"

"Couldn't you have just laid down with me?" 

He shook his head. "Nope! I wanted to spend time with you while you were awake! And anyways, were gonna be at an island soon! And I have another birthday present for you! So get ready!"

"Another present?" I looked over at the necklace he had given me for my birthday. "You don't need to give me a bunch of stuff."

He smiled and kissed my cheek. "I know I don't have to, but I want to!"

I giggled. "Ok, if you really want to. I love you Luffy."

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into him. "I love you too (Y/n)" He whispered before giving me a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me.

We heard knock at the door breaking us apart. "Were at the island! Come out here so we can pull sticks to see who guards the ship." Nami's voice came from outside.

Luffy took my hand and we walked out on deck where Nami was holding the sticks for everyone to choose. I reached in and grabbed one as did everyone else.

"Ok, who got the short one?" Nami asked.

I looked at my stick. "I think I did." I held up my stick. It was definitely short.

Nami looked at it. "Yup, that means (Y/n) is staying here to watch the ship while we all go out on the island."

"But I wanted to spend time with (Y/n)!" Luffy whined wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. He placed his head on top of mine. "Can't she come on the island? Pleaseeeee!?"

"She can tomorrow. The log pose will set in 2 days so you guys can spend all day on the island together tomorrow, ok."

Luffy made a disappointed face. "Fine. I'm gonna stay here too then."

"You don't have to do that Luffy. I know you want to go explore. I'll be fine." I said.

He shook his head. "No way. I'm not letting you stay here alone. What if you got kidnapped again!?"

"Ok Luffy, if you really want to." I said as he hugged me tighter.

"I don't wanna loose you again." I heard him mumble.

I waved bye to everyone as they left me and Luffy on the ship. He still had a tight grip on me. "Luffy, you can let go now."

He shook his head. "I don't wanna."

"You could at least hold me not so tight you know." I said and he loosened his grip.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." He said softly.

I turned around to face him. "Luffy, what's going on? You seem too.. calm."

"I just don't want you to be taken from me again."

I gave him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry Luffy. I won't be taken again." I kissed his cheek. "I love you."

"I love you too." He said.

"Come on, lets have some fun! Do you want me to make you something to eat?" I asked. He immediately let go of me and smiled.

"Can you make me meat!?!?!?!?"

I giggled "Yes Luffy, I can make you meat." I started to walk towards the kitchen.

"Let's go then!" He ran up and picked me up bridal style and ran with me in his arms into the kitchen. He set me down once we were in the kitchen.

"You know I can walk right?" I asked as he set me down.

"I know! But you were walking! I want meat as soon as possible! So I helped you run!"

I couldn't help but smile, "You goofball. Give me a few minutes and it'll be done." I said and went to the fridge.

I put the meat in the oven and sat down at the table. "Luffy?" I looked around for him. "Where are you?"

I got up and walked out onto the deck. "Luffy?" As I was about to shut the door I heard a crash behind me. I quickly turned around back into the kitchen to see Luffy on the ground with food all over himself in front of the fridge.

He smiled nervously at me. "(Y/n)! D-Don't tell Sanji I was getting into the fridge! He'll get mad at me!" His arms stretched and wrapped around me, pulling me across the room to him. "You love me right! So, you won't tell him then!"

I giggled. "I won't tell him, but you better help me clean all this up before he gets back then."

"Ok! When will meat be done?"

"It should be done now. You start cleaning and I'll finish the food." I said getting up and walking towards the oven. I grabbed a towel and got it wet, throwing it to Luffy so he could clean. I opened up the oven and the whole room instantly smelled amazing making me hungry.

"That smells good (Y/n)!" Luffy said.

I turned around. "Thank you Luffy. Do you need help clea- NO! IT'S NOT READY!" I smacked his hand away that had been sneaking it's way behind me to the meat.

He pouted. "But (Y/n)!! I want it nowwww!!" He whined.

I shook my head. "No. It needs to sit for a few minutes. You have to let the juices sit that way the meat will taste better, if we cut it now then the juices will all flow out and the meat will loose a lot of it's good flavor." (A/n: that's a true fact! haha I cook a lot.) "We can eat after you clean up the mess you made in the fridge. Or do you want Sanji to know you were in there."

"No! Don't tell him! I'll clean it!" He grabbed the rag and scrubbed the floor cleaning off the food that had fallen.

Once his mess was cleaned up I told him to sit at the table. I set the meat in front of him on a plate. "Here you go, just for you." I took my own plate which had a small piece of meat, I gave the rest to Luffy. "It's not as good as Sanji's but it should still be good!" I said.

He began to stuff the food in his face almost as soon as I had placed it in front of him. "This is good (Y/n)!"

"Thanks Luffy. I'm glad you like it!" I said taking my last bite. He was already done with his.

I got up and stretched. "Do you wanna go sit outside?"

"Sure!" Luffy jumped up and grabbed my hand and we walked out onto the deck. We walked up to the front of the Going Merry and Luffy jumped up on his special spot. "Come up here (Y/n)!"

"Won't I fall off?" I asked.

"No!" Luffy stretched his arms and pulled me up onto the Going Merry's head and sat me on his lap. He wrapped his arms around me. "See! You won't fall! I won't let you!"
I giggled and leaned back, my back on his chest.

"I love you Luffy."

He placed his head on top of mine. "I love you too (Y/n)."
