Chapter 24. Birthday date (part 2)

(Y/n) POV

Luffy pulled me by my hand off the ship and ran to the island. He had a big smile and looked really excited.

I giggled at him "Luffy calm down!"

"But I'm excited! It's gonna be a lot of fun!"

I smiled. He continued to pull me through the island. "Where are we going?" I asked looking around at all the different shops.

"You'll see! It's a surprise."

I gave him a questioning look but didn't say anything else. We continued to walk for a few minutes until we got to the edge of town and Luffy stopped. He walked behind me and covered my eyes.

I reached up and placed my hands on his. "Luffy? What are you doing?"

"It has to be a surprise! Don't worry, I won't let you get hurt, just trust me." 

I hesitantly moved my hands and put them at my sides. Luffy slowly pushed me forward. We slowly walked. I lifted my hand up and stuck them in front of me to prevent me from hitting anything. "Luffy, are we almost there? I don't like this, I feel like I'm gonna fall."

"Almost! I can see it, but we have to be closer before I let you see!"

I sighed and continued slowly walking.

"Ok!" Luffy shouted and slowly lowered his hands.

I gasped in shock at the view. It was so beautiful. "L-Luffy." I whispered and continued to stared. There was a waterfall which created a small lake, there was willow trees and flowers of all colors. 

He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. "Do you like it?"

I nodded my head. "I love it! It's beautiful!"

"Good!" He let go of me and moved next to me and grabbed my hand. "Follow me." We walked together and he led me to a spot under one of the trees. There was a cake that was decorated beautifully. It was double layer and had my name written in (f/c) frosting. It had strawberries and (f/c) frosting roses.

He smiled at me. "I asked Sanji to make it! I told him how I wanted it and he made it! Do you like it?"

I wrapped my arms around him. "Yes! I love it! Thank you Luffy!"

He blushed. "Its no big deal! I just wanted to make something special. I wanted to go swimming with you too but you know."

I smiled and kissed his cheek. "It's fine Luffy! I love it so much! This is the best birthday ever!"

He smiled. "That's good!"

We sat down and we ate cake. We talked and laughed and had a lot of fun until it started getting dark out. "Luffy, we should probably head back, its dark Nami will want us back."

"It's fine! She knows we won't be back till later! There all gonna be out late!"

I looked at him confused. "Why?"

"Shishishi! Just wait! It should start any second!"

I still looked confused. What the heck was he talking about. Then I heard a noise that sounded like an explosion. I looked up to see fireworks up in the sky. My eyes widened and a big smile formed on my face. "Fireworks!"

Luffy wrapped one arm around my waist and pulled me onto his lap. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled my back onto his chest then placed his head on my shoulder and looked up at the fireworks with me. They were all different colors, they were bright blues, greens, red, yellows, and many more!

I snuggled up against Luffy because it was starting to get a little cold. He held onto me tighter. "Happy birthday (Y/n)." He whispered.

I turned my head to face him and gave him a long kiss. "I love you Luffy." I whispered.

"I love you too (Y/n)." He said.

I yawned making him laugh at me. "Thank you Luffy, I've had a great day."

"Are you ready to go back?"

I nodded my head. "I'm tired, let's go back and go to sleep." I stood up so he could get up. He stood up next to me and smiled.

He suddenly picked me up and carried me bridal style.

"Luffy, what are you doing?"

"Your tired, so I'm gonna carry you back to the ship!"

I wrapped my arms around him as I yawned again. He just smiled and kissed my forehead and carried me back to the Going Merry.

We got back to the Going Merry and was greeted by everyone.

"Hi (Y/n)! Did you guys have fun?" Nami asked.

I smiled and nodded my head. "Yes! It was wonder-" I had to stop to yawn. "It was wonderful, and I'm really tired, I'll see you guys in the morning!" I said and waved as Luffy carried me to our room.

He st me down on the bed. "Thank you Luffy." I said. I pointed at my closet. "Can you hand me my pjs?"

He opened my closet then tossed me my sweatpants and shirt. I put on my sweatpants then began to take off my dress to put on my shirt. As soon as I began to do this Luffy quickly turned bright red and faced away from me.

I laughed at his embarrassment. "Luffy, you don't need to be so embarrassed, calm down. If anyone should be embarrassed, it should be me!"

"Shut up! I'm not embarrassed!"

I smiled. "Oh yeah?" I stood up and stood behind him. "What about now?" I asked when I put a hand on his shoulder and kissed his cheek.

"(Y/n)! S-Stop that!"

I giggled. "Why? It's not a big deal, you are my boyfriend." He moved his hat in front of his face, which I quickly grabbed from him and placed on my own head and moved in front of him. His face was the brightest shade of red. I leaned in to kiss him.

"(Y-Y/n)! What are you doing!?"

"What? I can't kiss my boyfriend?"

"W-Well, I didn't say that!"

"Then calm down and kiss me already!" I pressed my lips against his and wrapped my arms around his neck. I found it both cute and amusing at how embarrassed he was.

After our long kiss I looked at him. He quickly moved his head away so he didn't look at me. He reached for his hat to cover his blush but then realized it was on top of my head. 

"(Y/n)! Give me my hat!"

"But Luffyyyyyyy I wanna wear itttttt." I whined like a little kid.

"No. Give it back." He said reaching for it, but I quickly ran away thinking I could get away. Unfortunately I forgot he could stretch. So easily caught me. Once he caught me I giggled and placed the hat on his head. 

"I love you, you goofball." I said and kissed him again.
